Hugo Mejia Loera

Hugo Mejia Loera is a trilingual actor and writer (ASL, Spanish, English) who grew up with deaf parents, communicating with them in both American Sign Language and Lengua de Señas Mexicana (Mexican Sign Language). The youngest of four, Hugo was raised in a working-class family in Dinuba, California. He has held lead roles in a range of films, web series, and commercials across genres including psychological horror, animated cyberpunk, rom-coms, and dramedies. A graduate of San Diego State University, Hugo holds a BA in Communication with a minor in Television, Film, and New Media. He also completed the Television Academy Foundation's competitive scriptwriting and digital entertainment internship program, which deepened his understanding of the craft behind the camera and shaped him into a more dynamic on-screen performer. Hugo is passionate about connecting with genuine, ambitious, and hardworking creatives. One of his professional goals is to serve as both lead actor and writer in a successful, long-running ensemble series.
