After studying biomedical science at Australian Catholic University, Ryan received a full scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles where she graduated playing lead of Linda in Death Of A Salesman next to Max Fitzroy-Stone. Hannah received Best Actress class of 2018 for her performance.

After completion of the two year conservatory program, Ryan moved to New York and worked with Tony-award winning producer of Book of Mormon and Wicked, Jon B. Platt as well as Head of Disney, David Schrader.
