Faith Lovell
- Additional Crew
- Actress
Since graduating from the Beck Academy of Dramatic Art (formerly the Actors Door Studio) in 2024, Faith has been cast in a number of short films, including the lead role in 'Treacle', a film set in the 1960s where she played a dancer who falls in love with a dangerous man. The film has since gone on to win best acting and best screenplay at the LSCA Awards.
She also appeared in the feature film 'I Bring Joy' (LIFF Winner/Amazon Prime) playing the caring, social-media-influencer best friend. Faith is a co-founder of Quaila Gap Films, where she is working on a number of shorts alongside fellow filmmakers Jessica Hardern, Lucja Hawking, and Janet Law.
In both her acting and writing, Faith is drawn to comical yet brutally real coming-of-age stories. Her work highlights characters on the margins, capturing the chaotic, the awkward and the unexpected moments of growing up. She is adept at finding humour in the heartbreak of youth, and keeping performances alive and truthful is at the core of what she does.
