Mass murderer. On May 1, 1992, 20 year-old Eric Christopher Houston went to his former high school in Olivehurst, California. He shot and killed three students and one teacher. He also wounded nine students and one teacher. He then took about 80 students hostage for several hours at the school before surrendering to police. On September 21, 1993 Houston was found guilty on all charges against him, and was sentenced to death at San Quentin State Prison.
