Charlotte Schioler

Charlotte Schiøler, left Denmark at seventeen and studied at Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique (CNSAD) and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). In 1998, she joined internationally renowned Elsa Wolliaston's dance company in Paris.

Soon, she started to create her own solos and theatre performances and films whilst working for other directors and choreographers in film, theatre and in dance in parallel. The themes in her own artistic creations, whether it be in film, dance or theatre evolve around diversity. Her genre is dark comedy, satire and social commentary in a unique an often zany tone.

She has toured internationally with her plays and performances to great critical acclaim in London, Toronto, Vancouver, NYC and Paris. Her short film, SLØR aka By Any Means A-Veilable won multiple international awards, was sold to HBO, Canal+, and exhibited in 20 movie theaters in Italy. Her new feature, Maoussi, started its international film festival run in November 2024 and has won multiple awards so far.
