Molly Belle Wright

Molly was born in Manchester, England. Her family moved to Queensland, Australia, when she was three, later living in Los Angeles before returning to Manchester in 2024. She began acting at age six, after being spotted at a local drama class in Brisbane, Australia, which led to her first feature film lead role. At seven, she was asked to deliver a speech on early childhood development at the Sydney Opera House, directed by filmmaker Michael Gracey. The talk later became an official TED Talk and was the most-watched TED Talk of 2021. Following this, she founded Molly's Wildlife Warriors with Currumbin Wildlife Hospital to support wildlife conservation in Australia.
In the U.S. during 2023, Molly worked on leading roles in feature films Omaha (2026), Deep Water (2026), and Lionsgate's The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024). Omaha premiered in Dramatic Competition at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, earning Molly recognition at multiple subsequent festivals, including the Special Jury Prize for Performance at the Hamptons International Film Festival. In 2026, alongside Omaha and Deep Water, Molly will appear as Flavia de Luce, an 11-year-old British detective, in family feature film, Flavia, and as supporting-lead in American sci-fi feature Black Box (Flight 298).
Outside acting, Molly studies ballet, tap and jazz dancing, and is learning guitar and drums. Molly loves reading, and she writes poetry as a creative outlet.
