Alannah Vellacott

Alannah Vellacott is a marine ecologist working in marine research, conservation and education in The Bahamas and The Caribbean. A PADI OWSI with over a decade of experience in diving, Alannah has travelled The Bahamas and The Caribbean working on a variety of marine research and outreach projects. Some of her experiences include conducting AGRRA coral and fish surveys, establishing coral nurseries, outplanting nursery-grown corals back onto coral reefs, shark, conch, and reef health research and even shipwreck mapping and blue hole ethnography. Alannah specialises in science communication and has appeared in the "Enslaved" docu-series starring Samuel L. Jackson in a lead role as an on-screen diver. Alannah has also appeared in Discovery Channel's Shark Week 2020 episode "Adam Devine's Secret Shark Lair", and Shark Week 2021 episodes, "Tiffany Haddish Does Shark Week" and "Monster Sharks of Andros Island" as an on-screen marine ecologist. Alannah is also able to use her years of experience in the water to perform underwater stunts and underwater modeling.
