Michael is an actor, director, and acting coach based in NYC. He has appeared in the Law & Order series. The Handler, The Practice, Robbery Homicide Division as well as feature and independent films. While working with some of the industry's most prominent actors and directors, he has had the pleasure of friendships with Sydney Pollack, Sydney Lumet, and Harold Becker who have guided and educated him with his craft as an actor and director throughout his career.
He began teaching and directing plays in New York and Los Angeles at Third Street Theatre, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, before opening New York Theatre Academy, now known as Michael Luggio Coaching. MLC is a private acting studio where he teaches, coaches, and mentors some of the industry's most respected actors. Michael's no-nonsense approach to the craft and focus on character development, along with his understanding of the industry, have allowed him to help many students further their careers.
