Stanislav Eryomin
Stanislav Eryomin is a Soviet and Russian basketball player, coach. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR. Honored Coach of Russia.
Eryomin was born in the city of Sverdlovsk. His father and mother moved to Sverdlovsk from the Tyumen region in the late 20s. The family had three children. Elder brother Anatoliy, sister Iraida and Stanislav. After the birth of Stanislav, the family moved to Verkhneyvinsk. Here passed Stanislav's childhood, were taken the first steps in sports. Childhood forever left in the memory of little Stas the most blissful shade. Father, mother, brother, sister became the foundation of the life of the future great basketball player and coach.
Basketball, a game he started playing since childhood in the provincial Verkhneyvinsk, is a game of guys with outstanding physical data. For more than a century of its history, athletes have achieved notable success in it, the height of which far exceeds the average data of a man - a European, American, African, and even more so an Asian. Stanislav Eremin with a height of 180 cm became a multiple champion of the USSR, European champion, World champion, basketball grandmaster, and after the end of his playing career, one of the most famous coaches in Europe. Eremin became a recognized master of European basketball, as evidenced, at least, by the fact that he was twice (1979, 1981) a member of the European team. From 1981 to 1984 he was the captain of the national team of the country. He had to defend his right to be called one of the best defenders on the European continent in the fight against outstanding Yugoslav, Italian, Spanish basketball players.
