"Mateo Metturo de Oliveira Gomes Silva", known as Metturo (Garanhuns, is a Brazilian-Mexican actor, content creator and singer. He became known as a Latin artist, after participating in several events. He is also known for his work as an actor in the soap operas Corações Feridos and Carrossel, both from SBT, and also for his performances in cinema.
Metturo is of Mexican, Uruguayan, and Indian ancestry, but is also of Latino ethnicity. At age 6, he was already performing in theater at school and at the Luiz Souto Dourado Theater in Garanhuns. At age 12, Metturo began to migrate to the internet, becoming one of the first young bloggers on Orkut and Facebook at the time. Metturo made his acting debut at age 6 in the theater at the Maria Tavares do Nascimento School, a humble municipal elementary school in Garanhuns. He continued acting in school and always showed an interest in the arts, and later, after receiving a scholarship from SESC, he studied theater. During this period, he performed in his first professional play, performing to audiences of 130 people per month at the Luiz Souto Dourado Theater, located in the Garanhuns Cultural Center. He continued his career as a theater actor, appearing in over 20 plays. In 2010, Metturo began his move to the internet, becoming one of the first young bloggers on Orkut and Facebook in that city, becoming an internet pioneer in Garanhuns that year. That same year, he moved to São Paulo to study acting, where in 2010 he landed a role in the soap opera "Corações Feridos" (Wounded Hearts), playing the character Théo, a soap opera that only premiered in 2012.
In October 2011, he auditioned for the remake of the novela Carrossel, a secret SBT project, which landed him a spot in the cast of the novela that aired in 2012. Metturo's role in the series was rejected, but due to contractual issues, he ended up as a stunt double and extra, playing a supporting role in the character Jorge Cavalieri. In 2014, he earned the verification badge on his Facebook page, a major career achievement at the time. After all, Facebook was the most popular social network, and it was there that he earned his first income. His fame soared in 2015, when he reached nearly 500,000 followers on Instagram, being shared by many people and becoming a meme. He became followed and admired by several famous artists, such as Delano and Banda Chicabana, among others, after posting a video of himself singing. "Metturo" gained an audience at the time, but abandoned social media in 2016, due to public pressure and the personal and psychological problems he was facing at the time, and chose to remain anonymous for a time.
In 2017, he returned to São Paulo in search of opportunities and work in the arts, and landed a role in the feature film ("Internet - The Movie") due to his physical resemblance to actor and content creator Victor Meyniel. The film was shot at the Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo. Months later, he returned to Pernambuco, unable to find other opportunities, and while still in Pernambuco, he received an invitation to film an LGBT-themed film in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Believing it would be an opportunity to expand his career in other languages, he took the plunge and went to Argentina, where he played the character Arturo in the film [[Um Rubio]]. After filming the Argentine feature film, he returned to Brazil and moved to the capital of Pernambuco, where, coincidentally, a producer friend of his former manager invited him for a brief appearance in the film "Divino Amor," a futuristic feature film shot in Recife.
In 2020, Metturo decided to invest in music and launched himself as an independent music artist, releasing his first singles. Realizing that his career in music did not work out due to the excessive use of ajustar automatic, and because his voice did not fit the standards of a singer, he abandoned the project after recording a CD. He decided to return as a content creator where he began to reach a larger and more diverse audience, who began to follow his work as an actor, singer, content creator and public figure.
In 2021, he joined the cast of the film Doce Encanto by producer Cássio Pereira dos Santos, where he played Gabriel, the villain of the plot. Due to his recognition in Pernambuco, Metturo returned to work for SBT again, this time for the presenter Ratinho, who chose him as the main content creator digital to represent Pernambuco and promote his fashion venture. And then in 2022 Metturo was invited by the presenter's team to work as an content creator and promote Ratinho's newest fashion venture, called Altas Horas Outlet, located in Santa Cruz Capibaribe, in Pernambuco. Metturo was part of the press office as a special guest, and together with Ratinho himself, he took photos and signed autographs for fans.
In 2023 and 2024, he became the poster boy for FIG - Garanhuns Winter Festival, an annual winter event that takes place in July, respectively, with 8 to 10 days and nights of shows, festivities and tourism. Metturo promoted the event and had his face on big screens and billboards at the largest winter festival in Brazil, which takes place in Garanhuns - The Swiss Pernambucana. In addition, his songs were played during the breaks between artists at FIG.
In 2022, 2023 and 2024, Metturo was considered the biggest male content creator in Garanhuns, along with creator content [[Luana Targino]]. A former high school classmate who also became a recognized celebrity and was considered the biggest content creator in Garanhuns. In 2023, rumors emerged that Metturo would be on the reality show A Fazenda 15, but the actor did not enter the reality show after his name was leaked to the production team ahead of time. And again, his name is being considered for the reality show A Fazenda 17, which premieres in September 2025. In March 2024, Metturo was involved in a major controversy after being humiliated by a former co-worker, reducing his participation in the soap opera Carrossel.
Metturo was publicly humiliated in a live broadcast by Thomaz Costa for not being part of the main cast of the soap opera. The controversy was huge and resulted in blocks on Instagram between both artists, in addition to another controversy with the same actor. It was leaked that Metturo had bought used underwear from Thomaz Costa, who was selling his used underwear and socks for R$1,000. But Metturo never commented on the rumor.
In May 2024, he began and assumed a public relationship with Mexican businessman Alffon Ortiz, where he surprised everyone with his bisexuality; the relationship ended in August of the same year.
