Deven Barbosa

Deven John Barbosa was born August 24th, 2000 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Michael and Stephanie Barbosa and older brother to Destiny. Deven was raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He took his first step towards acting and filmmaking at the age of fourteen. His passion for acting then led him to create and start a YouTube channel with his best friend Zachary DeRoy back in 2016 where they created many short films and mini series. He started by playing the character Logan in the 2016 mini series "Alone." He then went on to play Derek in "Derek Reed" (2017), Jake in "Kill-List" (2018), Lucas in "Voices in my Head" (2019), Jimmy in "Thirty" (2020), The Hitman in "The Job" (2021), and Johnny in "Death by Dusk" (2021) which all appear on DZ Production's YouTube Channel. He then went on to work on the set of the Netflix film "The Mothership '' which stars Halle Berry. He graduated from William E. Tolman High School in May 2018. He then attended New England Institute of Technology and graduated in March 2021 with his Associate's Degree in the Digital Media Production program. Deven plans to continue to add to his filmography and grow as a young and aspiring actor, director, and filmmaker. He also enjoys script writing, social media marketing, promoting, and editing film productions as well. Deven's favorite sports include basketball, football, bowling, boxing, and playing pool. He also spends his time filming and creating content like urban exploring for his YouTube channel when he's not on set. He has now relocated to Mulberry, Florida where he intends to further grow and seek more opportunities in a new environment.
