Josh Dean is a Canadian actor, writer and voice director based in Los Angeles. He is known for Arcane, Blindspot, Christmas with a Prince and Quantum Leap. You have heard his voice in The Rookie, Castle, Kung Fu, and Breathe among many others.
Josh was first discovered in Canada in 2002 by then head of casting for Fox Television Marcia Shulman, who suggested he move to Los Angeles after seeing him in an improv show. Two years later he did and within a month had landed the lead role in Fox's improvised sitcom Free Ride, which ran for 6 episodes in 2005, premiering to over 15 million people. Afterward, he was signed to a development deal by Fox, and went on to work a few different pilots, movies and series. Most recently a three episode run on Quantum Leap.
In 2013 Josh was approached by the video game developer Bioware, with whom he'd worked as a voice actor and motion capture performer, to voice direct the player characters on their upcoming game Dragon Age, Inquisition. An avid gamer, Josh jumped at the opportunity and in the intervening years has grown this side of his career exponentially. He has directed for gaming giants Sony, Sega, Nintendo and EA among others, directing such games as Spiderman:Miles Morales, Spiderman 2, Need for Speed, Like a Dragon, Final Fantasy and the multiple Emmy award winning animated series Arcane.
