Park Jong Mi is a South Korean composer and music director best known for her work on the Netflix drama Designated Survivor: 60 Days, as well as Healer, The Kingdom of the Winds, Bread, Love and Dreams, and Beethoven Virus. Trained in classical piano and holding a graduate diploma in Music for Dance from the Korea National University of Arts, she has built a career in television scoring that spans diverse genres-from grand historical epics and romantic comedies to political thrillers. She is particularly known for composing many opening title themes, and for her distinctive and versatile musical style that has shaped the sound of numerous Korean dramas. Her recordings include Beethoven Virus and The Kingdom of the Winds in Los Angeles and Nashville, and Goddess of Fire in Berlin. The Kingdom of the Winds was also nominated for Best Drama Series at the 37th International Emmy Awards. In addition, she wrote the lyrics for "Missing You Crazy," performed by Taeyeon of Girls' Generation for The King 2 Hearts OST, which won Best Hallyu Drama OST at the 2012 Seoul International Drama Awards. With over 1,200 works registered as a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), she is widely recognized as one of the most prolific and versatile composers in the Korean drama industry. Her recent work includes composing for Dear X, selected for the 2025 Busan International Film Festival's "On Screen" section.
