Amita Udgata was a respected Indian film and television actress, known for her strong roles, particularly in Hindi drama series. She was an alumna of the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi, and was also associated with Delhi Doordarshan for a period.Her television career was extensive and includes memorable performances in several popular shows. She is widely recognized for playing the role of Amma in the social drama serial Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. She was also seen as Dadi Bua in the show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, a role where her character's arrival added significant drama to the narrative. Other notable television credits include Doli Armaanon Ki, Maharana Pratap, Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo, and a role as a cast member in Balika Vadhu.
