Tony Vidal (dba Prankster Entertainment) has devoted his life to storytelling. After earning a Masters degree in Screenwriting at USC, he worked as a story analyst for United Artists, Orion Pictures, and The Ladd Company, where he reviewed a multitude of feature projects.
Tony was hired by Summertime Films to co-write Her Best Move, an indy feature about girls' soccer which was distributed by MGM and aired on The Disney Channel.
Tony made his directorial debut with The Prankster, a teen comedy/romance which he also wrote, and was produced by his production company, Prankster Entertainment. The Prankster was distributed by Strand Releasing on Netflix and Hulu, and had a successful two year run on Showtime and Starz.
Tony went on to write and produce Baja, which was theatrically released by AMC Independent, and streams on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and all major platforms.
Tony's latest production, Free Byrd, can be seen on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and other major platforms.
As a screenwriter, director, and producer, Tony brings sensitivity and heart to every project. He believes we are all on a sacred journey to evolve and enlighten. He also enjoys dark chocolate and a good laugh.
