Born David Ken Sakurai Bo, in Copenhagen, Denmark. His Eurasian heritage includes Danish, Bornholm and Japanese roots.
Known for his Wizarding World role, Krall, opposite Johnny Depp's Grindelwald in Warner Bros' Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). Sakurai's international films also include the lead role, Tomy Tani, in festival favorite Liza the Fox-Fairy (2015), captivating European and Asian audiences alike, and In Order of Disappearance (2014) opposite Stellan Skarsgaard.
In the U.S., Sakurai stepped into the spotlight as Marvel Studios villain, Scythe, in the series Iron Fist (2017) His notable roles continued with Mutsuhiro 'The Bird' Watanabe in Unbroken: Path to Redemption (2018) a sequel to the Academy Award-nominated film from 2014, followed by The Man in the High Castle (2015), S.W.A.T.
