Any Ferreiras(I)

Any Ferreiras is a talented Dominican actress based in Los Angeles. She is best known for playing the leading role in Andrea, The Revenge of the Spirit, the first Dominican Horror Film, when she was only 14 years old with no previous acting experience. This movie was a phenomenal success and Ferreiras made a stunning impact that she landed a nomination for Best Actress at the Casandra Awards (2006), along with the acclaimed Dominican/American actress Zoe Saldana.

Ferreiras was also nominated for The Dominican Republic National Youth Prize (2006), the highest award given by the Dominican Government to the most outstanding young Dominicans. She was also recognized as a Distinguished Daughter of Moca, her hometown, for her achievements and contribution to the Arts and Culture in 2005.

After her first nationwide success, Ferreiras who is the second youngest of 20 siblings, took some time off from acting to pursue a career. She followed her family business tradition and got a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at PUCMM (2011) and a Master's degree in Management from the University of Barcelona, Spain (2012).

Once back in her home country, it took little time for her to realize her true calling. Ferreiras rediscovered her love for acting and started getting trained professionally as well as landing roles in short films such as La Pinza, Si le amas no le Pegues, El Precio and Por el Resto de Nuestras Vidas. In 2018 Ferreiras returns to the big screen in the thriller Botija, a film for which she earned her second nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Iris Dominican Movies Awards (2019).

Today Any Ferreiras lives in Los Angeles, CA., where she has trained at The Michelle Danner Acting Studio. She has also been casted in different short films such as Strawberry Soda, an official selection for the CATE Film Festival 2020, playing Ophelia (leading role), and COCKSURE, playing Shirley (leading role). Any continues to train as an actress and pursuing her dream.
