Biography

Tobias Forrest was born in San Francisco, raised in Hawaii and has lived in several states. After graduating from Valley Forge Military Academy, he attended Northern Arizona University and received a BFA in jewelry. A few months later, he experienced a C5 spinal injury from diving off of a waterfall into shallow water at the Grand Canyon. Fortunately, saved through the efforts of many strangers he bounced back with a positive sense of humor and a passion to create. Following rehab at University of Miami, he began painting and attended Nova SE for an MS in psychology before moving to California to do research at UCLA. Soon after, he had his first audition and won a Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship that changed his life and direction. Twenty years later, he won the first Christopher Reeve Acting Award at the Media Access Awards for his role as "Patrick" in the film "Daruma".

Tobias also sang in the "Academy Awards" choir and his credits include "FBI: Most Wanted", "Law & Order: Organized Crime", "How To Get Away With Murder", "Queen Sugar", "Good Trouble", "Special Unit", "Wisdom of the Crowd", "The Sessions", "Weeds", "Coffee Wars" and more. He also starred onstage in the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Cost of Living" as well as "Colossal", "Pyretown" and others, plus his original short film "Dead End Drive" has won several awards including best short film at CIFF. Tobias has also been the lead singer for the band Cityzen, done audio description for television, characters for animation, narration for audio books and has been a speaker and MC for many events.

In addition, he is an accessible consultant for entertainment companies and was an ADA compliant consultant prior to acting. He also co-authored the best selling book "Lessons Learned The Hard Way" and co-hosted "Perfectly Imperfect" on LA Talk Radio. As an entertainer, Tobias plans to create more inclusive projects that can accurately represent disability and provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
