Ayn Carrillo Gailey is the author of the popular memoir "Pornology" (Running Press U.S./Random House U.K./Roger Bernhard Germany) which was produced in 2020 by Jina Panebianco of MPS Entertainment Group/CaliWood Pictures and Nicholas Bogner and Melanie Greene of Affirmative Entertainment as the feature "A Nice Girl Like You," starring Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Jackie Cruz (Orange Is The New Black).
Her writing career began in film school when she wrote scripts for Showtime and Fox. She earned her Masters in Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting and a B.A. in psychology at UCLA and a Masters from Harvard University.
In addition to her writing being highlighted in Latina, Cosmo, Documentary, and Elle, Ayn's scripts have been sold or produced by 20th Century Fox, 19 Entertainment, & Showtime. She has also been a guest on TV talk shows, was a featured author at The LA Times Festival of Books, and has appeared on KPFK radio, Maxim radio, Sirius Radio, and NBC Raw News.
She lives on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest with her daughter and husband, (Samuel W. Gailey), the critically-acclaimed author of "Deep Winter" and "The Guilt We Carry."
Her relationship columns "Sex Y LA" have been optioned by CaliWood Pictures and she is in the throes of finishing her debut novel and a limited TV series.
