Mark Cuban is saying goodbye to “Shark Tank” ahead of his final episode on the ABC reality show. He has been a full-time shark on the business series since 2012 after joining as a guest investor in 2011.
“My last ‘Shark Tank’ is this Friday. Gonna miss it. But it was time to move on,” Cuban posted on X.
The Dallas Mavericks owner first announced he would be leaving the long-running ABC show in 2023. The entrepreneur’s plan had always been to leave the series after Season 16, which comes to an end on Friday.
“I feel like in doing ‘Shark Tank’ all these years, we’ve trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever, and show up on the carpet of ‘Shark Tank’ and show their business and get a deal, it’s going to inspire generations of kids,” Cuban said on “All The...

Saturday Night Live’s milestone 50th season came to a rather abrupt end.
At the conclusion of Saturday’s SNL season finale, Scarlett Johansson and the cast came out for the traditional “goodnights,” where the host says their thanks ahead of the closing credits. This week, Johansson got a bouquet of roses and a kiss from her SNL husband Colin Jost — awww! — and sported a Wayne’s World T-shirt as she thanked musical guest Bad Bunny and guest star Mike Myers.

Scarlett Johansson was owed an apology — and she got one.
Johansson, who hosted this week’s Saturday Night Live season finale, dropped by Weekend Update to confront Michael Che about the hilariously obscene jokes he wrote about her for her husband Colin Jost to deliver. (For a reminder, click here.) Well, Jost and Che engaged in another “joke swap” this week, where they write each other jokes to read live on air, sight unseen. And in between jokes, Johansson took a seat beside Che so he could read her a Jost-penned apology to her face.

Scarlett Johansson is finally firing back at Michael Che for all those “Weekend Update” jokes. Johansson hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the seventh time this weekend with musical guest Bad Bunny.
Che, who co-anchors the recurring “Weekend Update” segment of “Saturday Night Live,” writes gags for Colin Jost (Johansson’s husband) to read during “joke swaps” each season — and sometimes they’re at her expense.

Is there anything scarier than being stuck alone in an elevator with Kanye West? In the season finale of “Saturday Night Live,” Mike Myers steps into an elevator alongside host Scarlett Johansson, only for them to be joined by a sunglass-wearing Kanye West (played by Kenan Thompson). The NCIS prequel may have just killed off one of the members of the first team that Gibbs (Austin Stowell) worked with upon joining Nis. Her car flipped, and she wasn’t looking good the last time we saw her. Furthermore, Gibbs’ voiceover (Mark Harmon) strongly suggested that Lala dies. After what feels like the shortest season of American Idol in history, we’re now just hours away from finding out which of the remaining finalists — John Foster, Breanna Nix or Jamal Roberts — will be left standing when the confetti falls on Sunday (ABC, 8/7c).
“I just love a dynamic finale that keeps everyone guessing who’s going to win,” Idol showrunner Megan Michaels Wolflick recently told TVLine. “In the case of other seasons, there might be more of a clear frontrunner, but not this time. It’s anyone’s game, and that to me is a win at the end of a season.

Hindsight is 20/20, as Erin Hoard said on Reddit after losing her Jeopardy! lead in the final round of the episode airing on Friday, May 16. Hoard went into the Final Jeopardy! round in first place, with a score of $16,000, while competitors Mitch Loflin and Brandon Monsman had scores of $13,800 and $8,300, respectively. The Final Jeopardy! category was “National Monuments,” and Hoard wagered $11,601, a cover bet that would have put her in front of Loflin if they’d both delivered the correct response. But Friday’s Final Jeopardy! was a triple stumper. A: “Also called ‘Great Gray Horn’ & ‘Bear’s tipi,’ this site in the western U.S. was made a national monument in 1906.” Q: “What is Devils Tower?” And because he didn’t go all in, Loflin won the game, ending up with a score of $8,400 compared to Hoard’s $4,399 and Monsman’s $2,300. On Reddit after the airing of Friday’s game,...

True to Wheel of Fortune’s $1,000 Toss-Up solution on Friday, May 16, contestant Wanda Ruff had “Stiff Competition” on that day’s episode, with two of her bowling buddies joining her at the wheel. [The following post contains Major spoilers for the Friday, May 16, episode of Jeopardy!] The winner of the latest Jeopardy! episode shares a special connection with actor Harrison Ford. His job allows him to be in the presence of big actors, including Ford. Mitch Loflin, from Long Beach, California, played against Erin Hoard, from Las Vegas, Nevada, and returning champion Brandon Monsman, from Cleveland, Ohio. Monsman had a two-day total of $23,600. He plans to raise that on the Friday, May 16 episode after his third-place comeback the day before. During the interviews, host Ken Jennings talked about Loflin being a set decoration coordinator. He shared that he has watched every Anne Hathaway movie and ranked them from worst to best, putting Brokeback Mountain first. However, what he didn’t share was that he was once on the same set as Harrison Ford. According to his IMDb page, Loflin has worked on The Gray Man, St. Denis Medical, American Auto, Shrinking, and You ...

The Department of Homeland Security is criticizing a report by the Daily Mail that suggests it might take part in a reality show that would offer immigrants a chance to compete for American citizenship.
“Fake News Friday,” the Dhs announced in a press release, where it said it “torches latest media hoax.” The department said the Daily Mail’s story was “false,” in particular its report that Secretary Kristi Noem had “backed” the reality television show pitch by producer Rob Worsoff (pictured above), whose credits include “All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs,” “Alpha Dogs,” “Duck Dynasty” and “The Millionaire Matchmaker.

While the Max rebrand back to HBO Max has the streaming world in a tizzy, it’s worth remembering the significance of keeping diverse subscriptions. While “Hacks” and “The Last of Us” wrap up over on that side of your library, the Hulu and Disney bundle is essential for maximizing this summer’s offerings.
Disney+ continues to be the go-to streamer for family friendly viewing options; this month, they’ll add the official “Frozen” Broadway musical to that library, along with Marvel’s “Ironheart,” about Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) who was introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
Hulu has everything you need for an “Alien” movie marathon, all to gear up for FX’s “Alien: Earth” which premieres in August. You could also do a “Mamma Mia!” marathon or “Bachelor” binge — we’re not here to judge.
Top Pick: “The Bear” Season 4 (Available on Hulu)

As real life and The Handmaid’s Tale have taught us, the patriarchy isn’t going to smash itself. And we don’t begrudge an oppressed faction any advantage in winning its fight. But when we watched the Hulu drama’s most recent episode, something leapt out at us: Isn’t cake a really iffy hook on which to hang handmaid liberation?
Confused? We’ll back up a moment. This week’s Handmaid’s Tale found Elisabeth Moss’ June and Samira Wiley’s Moira back in Gilead and undercover as handmaids in order to lead their enslaved sisters in mass murder.

Ghosts Season 4 may be over, but the cast of CBS‘s comedy is already looking to the future, and TV Insider caught up with several of the stars at the network’s CBS Fest 2025 to discuss what’s next. As viewers will recall, Season 4 concluded with a major cliffhanger as it was revealed Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) had unknowingly signed away his soul to hell thanks to demon Elias (Matt Walsh). When Sam (Rose McIver) informed Jay that Elias was Hetty’s (Rebecca Wisocky) ex, who had gone to hell and somehow reemerged in a visible form, the chef realized the stakes of his situation. With the threat of Elias’ promise to reap Jay’s soul sooner rather than later looming over Woodstone, it’s unclear how the demon’s attempts to kill Jay will manifest in Season 5. In the meantime, Ambudkar and McIver, Asher Grodman, and Sheila Carrasco, who play...

Ryan Seacrest stopped by his old job, Live, to talk about Wheel of Fortune and American Idol, but the host also discussed another topic — his dating life. His answer as to why he doesn’t think he will ever get married shocked host Mark Consuelos. “You did it! You were close,” Consuelos said to Seacrest as his cohost and wife, Kelly Ripa, chuckled. “You were at the wedding altar. You weren’t getting married, but you officiated your friend Tanya [Rad]’s wedding. How’d that go?” Rad works with Seacrest on the radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Rad and Roby Yadegar got married in March, and Seacrest officiated. “Well, it’s as close to a wedding as I’ve ever gotten, as I ever will be,” Ryan Seacrest admitted on Wednesday, May 14. He shared that he took a class online to become ordained. The former Live host said...

“Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” For a while, it wasn’t clear if those now-immortal words would continue to ring out from Studio 8H after the series’ golden anniversary, but now it looks like Saturday Night Live will indeed continue on to Season 51. Creator Lorne Michaels previously indicated that he might be ready to walk away from the iconic NBC sketch comedy series after Season 50, but he has now changed his mind. Michaels told The Hollywood Reporter, “As long as it’s important and I can be useful, I’ll stay… It’s more about keeping it on course than anything else, and, obviously, I really love it. And every year there are more and more people whom I rely on for other things, but, in the end, you really need someone to say, ‘This is what we’re doing.’ So I don’t really have an...

There’s been a lot of renewed interest in Noah Wyle lately. It makes sense, following his command (and likely award-winning) performance on “The Pitt,” but appearances on Jimmy Kimmel and Jennifer Hudson, as well as unhinged fancams, have made it seem like Wyle-fever may be sweeping the nation (perhaps a good subplot for Season 2).
To be fair, it’s all well-deserved and Wyle has been an excellent steward of the series. Moreover, he’s spent most of his career highlighting the vital importance of emergency medicine and the doctors who perform it; a mitzvah in and of itself. But in translating the realities of this space, Wyle has brought another beautiful aspect to the fore of all that “Pitt” talk: a platform to showcase young talent.
“My dad told me years ago that the key to longevity in this business is figuring out how to work with young people,...

Miss Austen comes to a close in a two-part finale airing back-to-back this Sunday, May 18, on PBS. The Masterpiece adaptation of the novel of the same name tells the story of what led Cassandra Austen to burn the letters of her sister, beloved author Jane Austen — an act that has left Cassy often painted as a villain in history books. But the true “soulmate” relationship between these two sisters, as star Keeley Hawes describes it to TV Insider, is at the root of everything in this tale, and Hawes says the central conflict of the show’s present-day timeline is going to reach a surprisingly “gentle” conclusion. Set many years after the death of Jane, Miss Austen shows Hawes as Cassandra, a woman who never married out of a commitment to her fiancé who tragically died before they could wed and to her sister, the closest relationship of her life.

Bart Simpsons’ best friend is changing. Well, sort of. Millhouse Van Houten, who has been Bart’s best friend since Season 1, is getting a new voice actor just in time for the finale of Season 36. The character was voiced by Pamela Hayden for 35 years on The Simpsons, but she has since retired, so singer Kelly Macleod will step into the role. Hayden also voiced The Simpsons‘ next-door neighbor Rod (and sometimes Todd) Flanders, Chief Wigum’s wife, Sarah, Lisa Simpson’s friend, Janey Powell, and bully Jimbo Jones. Only Jones’ replacement, Parks and Rec actress Mo Collins, has been announced. “It’s been an honor and a joy to have worked on such a funny, witty, and groundbreaking show, and to give voice to Milhouse,” Hayden said in an Instagram video in November 2024. “Here’s to everyone who made this terrific ride I’ve been on possible.” If fans ...

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for Murderbot Episodes 1 & 2, “Free Commerce” and “Eye Contact.”] In the first two minutes of Murderbot‘s series premiere at Apple TV+, we learn just how the titular robot (Alexander Skarsgård) feels about the humans it’s been built to protect: ‘Well, they’re a**holes,” it says in his internal monologue, as it sees the miners it’s been protecting start to celebrate the completion of their mission by getting drunk and torturing it a little for fun. Of course, Murderbot also has some harsh things to say about itself, especially as it starts having flashbacks to a very violent episode involving a crowd of people. “I think everybody is stuck in this position of being the only person who has an interior monologue as far as they’re concerned and of having a pretty cynical take on the way that the rest of humanity is behaving as well as on...
