Inspector Heinrich uses a rope to climb down a well to search for missing body. When rope is tied to top of well and thrown down the well it's straight. When Inspector climbs the rope it's knotted every 3 ft or so.
When a character falls down a well, the floor bounces as if cushioned.
As Mircalla burns near end of the film body swap to a melting dummy between shots.
Inspector Heinrich throws a stone down the well and eventually hears the 'plop' of water. However, when he reaches the bottom of the well it is dry and covered in leaves.
When the policeman goes down the well, he strikes a safety match. These did
not exist in 1830 [ the date given in the film ]
A respectable girl's school in 1830 would not allow students to lie about a reading room in gowns revealing such plunging decollete's.
Towards the end, there is a shot from the top of a carriage bursting out the castle gates. The entire camera crew is visible for several seconds in front of the cart.
Near the beginning of the film, crewmembers are reflected in the stagecoach door, sitting around on the grass.
