A film of the highest order, a magnificent satire of the oligarchy! 10 out of 10.
It is surprising that the movie "Roma bene" has no serious ratings and comments!
I watched it for the first time when I was young, but I watch it again today - I am amazed by the convincing script, the magnificent direction and the unsurpassed masterful acting of the actors!
The film is from the times of the "Great Italian Cinema", when there was almost no mediocre film and elementary actors!
If it had to be ranked as the greatest movie satires, it would be in the top three!
The times the film describes are after the years of the hippies, of the angry young people (Britain), of existentialism (France), of rethinking the past (FR Germany) and of ridiculing human failings (Italy). But the oligarchy is always the same - eternal, greedy, mean, inept, elementary, insane - this is exactly what this magnificent satire presents us!
Treat yourself to an hour and a half of real cinema, to think years later about the repetition of the habits of the richest.
Enjoy watching!
