A farmer(Dominique Garny)who may be the last man on earth, loves and makes love to a huge sow-pig.When the sow gives birth,he takes the piglets from her to keep her from eating them, and knits cute little infant things for them. When the piglets abandon him for their mother,he executes them by hanging, and the sow shows the first distress she has shown for the whole film."Wedding Trough",more commonly known as "The Pig Fu*king Movie" is certainly one of the sickest films ever made. It's loaded with scenes of implied bestiality, coprophagia and insanity,so fans of unrelentingly grim, experimental transgressions will be satisfied. The action is set on a secluded rural farm and the film is completely devoid of dialogue.Still despite its truly repellent subject matter the action is slow, but the scenes of the farmer sodomizing his swine or eating his own excrement are sick as hell.Give it a look, only if you are into extreme cinema.8 out of 10.
Vase De Noces earns the title as one of the most disturbing and grotesque films ever made for obvious reasons. It's not a movie that anyone can do and I don't blame anyone for seeing it in a bad light. The film has a very short story and for ordinary people it is very easy to define it as the story of a farmer with mental problems who has relationships with his sow, but the end of the film (which may be nonsense for many) suggests that there is something else behind. The film also has a certain symbolism behind it if one takes into account the appearance of the building that looks like a church and the soundtrack that sounds evangelical. In addition, here he tries to use the relationship between man and sow to say that animals and humans are equal and it shows that they try to humanize the sow. It is a film that clearly must be seen much beyond what the images show, but it is not easy at all. To conclude, as a disturbing film it manages to make an impact, but as a film in itself it is not good and it is not recommended for anyone, it is a film that has to be seen with a different look. My final grade for this film is 4/10.
Consider me a fan of the more fringe and extreme movies in circulation. I guess it's more of a curiosity factor than a genuine fondness for the grotesque. That very curiosity is what lead me to watch this movie. I'll say right off that there is almost nobody that would find this "enjoyable" and anybody that does needs to be locked up. But it is definitely a movie that lives up to its reputation. There's no spoken language and the picture is shoddy black and white. The only soundtrack consists of everyday farm noises and organ music that sounds like Ned from South Park singing while drowning in a tub of grease. Yes, it's that weird. Then we get to the actual "plot". A lone farmer with a bestiality fetish rapes a sow on his farm only to confront the offspring, his emotions about the sow, and a horribly disgusting habit of drinking tea made from his own sewage! No reasons are ever given to the man's motives and nothing is ever explained. For example why does this guy enjoy putting doll heads on pigeons? But as far as the sicko movies goes it deserves a high spot. If you watched Salo: 120 Days of Sodom and shook it right off this may be your next conquest although for the life of me I don't know why anybody would purposefully seek this out. Then again I did so nevermind.
Given the rather blunt international title, it should come as no surprise to find that 70s Belgian art-house oddity Vase de Noces is about a guy getting jiggy with a piggy, but the content isn't just limited to (presumably simulated) bestiality: there's all sorts of other deviancy on display, some of which proves even more disturbing than the man-on-swine action. During the course of the film, the viewer is also treated to countless shots of mating farmyard birds, excessive full-frontal male nudity, some animal cruelty, and, towards the end, nauseating scenes of coprophagia.
Naturally, the promise of such wanton depravity and filth is bound to attract those film-fans who like their entertainment to push the boundaries, but be warned... even though this is seriously warped stuff, it is also an extremely boring experience thanks to director Thierry Zéno's insufferable artistic pretensions: shot in black and white without a single word of dialogue for the entire 80 minutes running time, the film regularly cuts from the more freaky fare to offer up lingering shots of chickens and turkeys strutting round the farm or mind-numbingly monotonous scenes of the farmer arranging jars, playing with a hoop and stick, preparing lunch and having a bath (all of which is accompanied by a suitably strange soundtrack consisting of unconvincing post-production sound effects, avant-garde choral music and surreal electronic bleeping).

Now I will admit I am a huge fan of any film deemed disturbing, gross or wrong (my download collection includes all of the Guinea Pig movies, Un Chien Andalou, Nekromantik among many others) and it actually took me a while to hear of Vase de Noces. I eventually heard about it on Listverse on a list of Top Ten Most Disturbing Movies. It was not on the list but someone had suggested it in the comments. On looking it up on IMDb I knew instantly that it must be added to my library of gross movies... After hours battling with The Pirate Bay, Limewire and Youtorrent (I don't pay for anything. Sue me.) I managed to download a full VHSrip of the movie (which I will happily send to anyone who wants it :] message me) and I watched it alone one night... If, like me, you love the grossness of films like this, you will not be disappointed. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. I admit it was hard to concentrate on the artiness of the film when man-pig breeding and coprophagia is going on but I did take a few minutes to appreciate the surreal aura of the film. As artsy as it is you gotta admit, somebody's gotta be smoking something to come up with this idea. Then again, this seems like the kind of idea I would come up with... It is definitely an acquired taste and it takes someone with guts of steel to really appreciate it. But I say go for it! It can't be worse than Two Girls One Cup...

- TriviaThis had trouble with the Australian censors when it was shown at the Perth International Film Festival in 1975. Normally, censorship does not affect film festivals, but pressure from conservatives forced the board of censors to ban the film. It was allowed to be shown after an appeal to the ban, but it was banned again in 1976.
