A very sad fable

A young couple in rural Andalusia comes into a conflict with their lives, as Yerma wants children and her husband Juan is not interested in having descendants. In the period, social conventions in Andalusia were more severe as in other parts of Spain. They form an important part of the plot. Yerma hardly expected love in her life. She realized that in her insensitivity lied the key to her sterility.
