I will start off by saying this: if you like full house then, good for you. I myself happen to very much dislike this show. So what's so bad about this show you may ask yourself? Well let's start off with the lame and dated jokes that are here. I don't need to give any examples just watch the show yourself. Not only that but this show fails at something every "great" show needs: inserting characters. They're all so bland and just boring. So with a sitcom with unfunny jokes and uninteresting characters at the very least they could put in some intriguing situations right? Nope, instead sources of conflict include very mundane events. There is nothing "special" about this show. In my opinion at least like I previously stated "if you like full house good for you" it's just not my kind of show know what I'm saying dawg? I would like to make a comparison for a second, Seinfeld and Full house. In Seinfeld there was also a lot of mundane situations however, unlike full house though, it had funny jokes and likable characters. So in a way full house is like an inferior version of Seinfeld. Sorry if I came across as pretentious in this little review,it's just I really don't like full house.
Seriously. This is one of the most stupid family shows of all time.
Plot- A family without a mother and 3 "dads" raise 3 little girls in San Francisco, California.
Characters- Neat freak Danny, cartoon loving Joey, hair obsessed Jesse, spoiled brat Michelle, stupid DJ, and almost normal Stephanie. The creators of this show really want you to hate the characters, don't they?
Therefore, I do not think anyone should watch this show. I only chuckled at a few moments in the show's whole running, and I think that instead of lethal injection, all criminals should be forced to watch this show, a torture far worse than anything else.

What a crime...
You forgot to brush your teeth...let's make a 30 minute show about it and have a couple of kids make some noise and then have the dad lecture them all because that's what he has to do.
But, don't forget Uncle Joey has to make some weird noises and cooky faces, then Uncle Jesse has to show up with his black leather jacket and some jeans and look pretty for a few minutes while everybody discusses how Mother would have done things if she were around..
Yep, full of zany little adventures about a whole bunch of nothing and an entire overlong story to build around it.
Full House will not only bore you to tears, but it will make you age twenty times faster than you normally would.

This show is just annoying!!! I feel sorry for the actors for having to attempt to be funny (especially Bob Saget), the laugh track tries to cover up the sad jokes and the "Awwww" track comes up at the most unnecessary times. The over-dramatic kids are no exception, especially the Olsen twins. Also, this show is cliché city. If you were to look up the word cliché, it would read "Full House" Every story line has a "life lesson" to be learned at the end. A sappy speech makes everything better and even has the ability to make the most bratty child have a sudden realization of goodness GASP too bad this couldn't be possible in real life. I don't know how someone could watch this show without bad mouthing the behavior of the characters or the laugh track. i find myself yelling at the TV saying, "THAT Isn't FUNNY/SAD/CUTE" If life were really like this, the world would fall apart.
This is the worst thing I've ever seen on screen. Not only are the actors unlikeable and corny, the comedy is just horrendous, with Dave Coulier as one of the worst comedians I've seen in my life. There is simply not a single good thing I can say about this. Nothing. Nothing at all. The whole theme of the series is just vomit-inducing, and the all the cuddly and cute things aren't helping either. Mary-Kate and Ashley are so unbearable in this that after hearing the same, really unfunny lines over and over again. I'm a really nostalgic person, but this is just terrible in every way imaginable. Absolutely do not watch this.

Why does anyone watch this? It's not funny, the characters are awful, there is no real problems yet it acts as if the problems in the show are always huge ordeals, and yet somehow it has a gigantic fan base. I get the nostalgia, but come on! With all the great shows coming out at that time, you people picked this? Let me just name what you could've watched instead of this: Seinfeld, Simpsons, Macgyver, Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles, The A team, Star Trek the next generation and so many more. How does someone like this? And yet, you decided that you should waste thirty minutes of your life watching this! How? Why? Please explain to me why people thought this show was good, because I certainly can't explain it.

Full House is a shameful excuse for a TV show.I mean, The Big Bang Theory is an awful show, but I still gave that one a 2 star review because it sometimes (very rarely) makes me laugh. However, this show isn't inventive in any way, and it sure as hell isn't funny. This is a show that has HYPNOTIZED my generation, so much so that Netflix is reviving the show under the name "Fuller House" (KILL ME!). This show is the kind of show that your parents turn on if they want you to shut up, so a lot of kids around my age grew up watching it, and they see it as a "childhood classic". However, if they were to watch it now, they'd see how trite and pandering it is. The whole show just revolves around cute children doing cute things. Seriously, they have not one but TWO sets of twin children in this show. Even TV shows like Arthur had characters that were unique and seemed like they could be real people, whereas this is just a perfect family that has the most first-world problems I've ever heard. And, as I've mentioned before, the jokes aren't even funny. "The baby's sleeping like a baby"............ Um, where's the joke? I honestly don't understand it. And, all the jokes are on the same level as bad. Listen, if you like this show, that's okay. It's not your fault. It's your parents fault for being terrible, terrible people and turning on this garbage instead of something that had actual substance like Batman: The Animated Series.

Even as a child I understood that this show was horrible.Even if you could buy into the premise that a comedian and rock musician would drop everything to raise someone else's kids, the dumb plots and lesson learning in every episode will quickly drive you away. There is nothing worse in a sitcom than when they all sit down and discuss the important life lesson they learned in the last twenty minutes. The only thing that makes me cringe harder than Jesse having a heartfelt talk with a two year old Michelle is seeing the busted troll face of Kimmy Gibbler. All of the Tanner daughters were annoying little witches who should have been beaten on a regular basis.Weirdly, they all grew up to be kinda hot.Proof that drugs aren't all bad. This show needs to be erased from the planet.
I can see little girls enjoying this show, but calling this a family show is ridiculous. I'm amazed how well remembered it is after all these years. It's an extremely unfunny and stupid show about widowed father of three living with his dead wife's brother and his stupid friend from school, and others as the seasons go on. All of the plot lines generally have a really dumb lesson. In the middle of each episode somebody is mad at somebody else and each episode they make up and it ends on a light unfunny joke. As for the actors, I didn't like them either. Bob Saget was painfully unfunny as the dad with the mom responsibilities. Dave Coulier is a one note joke 30 something year old that does cartoon voices and acts like a kid, and he's horrid. John Stamos was the most tolerable character but he was so clichéd it was hard to watch him. The oldest girl, DJ, on the show was a genuinely bad actress and showed no emotion ever. The middle girl Stephanie was too clichéd as the annoying little sister. The youngest girl Michelle showed what bad actresses the Olsen twins were. You can always tell when they are switching them off. The plot lines to too many story lines were so unrealistically stupid it's cringe worthy. This is a "family" show that tried to replace any good substance with cuteness and love, and though those are needed for a show about a family they overdid it way too much. This will be remembered as my least favorite sit-com from the 80's and 90's.
My rating: Terrible show. TVG 30 mins.
My rating: Terrible show. TVG 30 mins.
The acting is bad ham, ALL the jokes are superficial and the target audience is clearly very young children, assuming they have below average IQs. I realize that it was meant for kids, but so is Malcom in the Middle, yet they still throw in adult humor and situations.
What should we expect from a show lead by Bob Saget, the only comedian in existence who is less funny than a ball hitting a man's groin, which is probably why he stopped hosting America's Funniest Home Videos.
Parents, do not let your kids watch this show unless you want to save money on college. Expose your kids to stupidity and they will grow up dumberer.

Full House is one of the worst TV series ever! Why?Because all the characters are so irritating that it's impossible to bear. The best character is Joey an even he is pretty irritating occasionally. An that girl DJ,who wrote her character?I want to kill my self every time she speaks. Not to mention when Danny start's with his philosophy.
Example: DJ won around ten thousand dollars or more in the casino. However, she's not eighteen so she shouldn't gamble according to law. However the casino was ready to pay her the money but then Danny, her father cought's her and don't let's her raise that money because she is not eighteen.Oh come on,give me a break, will ya?Since i've seen that stupid and childish scene i instantly turned off the television. Some of the thing's they say in this series not even a child would bought.Who in the world could think that Full House is entertaining and funny?Every single word they say in this series seem's like Shakespeare wrote it.Except that Shakespere knew how to write and except that he wouldn't be that childish and stupid to write something as stupid as they wrote in the script for the Full House!
For everyone who has a bad heart or any kind of bad medical condition or any will for life or any sense of the real world,i deeply recommend 'Do not watch the Full House'!Not even one episode as a try out.Avoid this series.Save your self from stupidity and nonsense. This is the worst television show ever!I'd rather watch Teletubbies then this.'Do not watch this'.

I have never in my life watched a show that reached the pinnacles of stupidity than the travesty that was "Full House." This is said by taking all of the other wretched shows I have seen in my life into account. There are so many painful programs on the television, such as "The Brady Bunch," "Unhappily Ever After," and even shoddy reality shows like "Joe Millionaire" or "Phenomenon." In spite of the poor horrid productions mentioned, "Full House" manages to remain the worst television show I have ever seen.
Why is "Full House" so bad? Well, other than the bad acting, the writing was atrocious. Every episode ended with someone always being sorry for something while the exact same "awww" sad music playing in the background. Viewers could always tell what was going to happen. Worst of all, no one ever learned a lesson because they would engage in the same behavior in another episode.
Interestingly enough, I actually never had a problem with the Olsens as actors. The true annoyance in the show was delivered by Dave Coulier and John Stamos. Coulier is one of the worst comedians in the history of comedy and his idiotic impressions are more annoying than a legion of Steve Urkels. Each episode also had the inevitable worship of Jesse upon Elvis Presley which bordered on insanity. It's fine to talk about one's idols, but this was the only thing he ever talks about.
In spite of all of this, I have always been able to credit the producers of "Full House" for a wonderful birthday present they gave me. I was forced to see the show as a teenager since my family watched it. The last show aired on my 20th birthday and I have never had to see an episode since then.

I hated this crap, every Friday as part of tgif it was on, and consistently sucked big time with stupidity each and every week. If you want to see something funny go watch "No On Would Tell" Starring Candice Cameron and Fred Savage, it really is hilarious, shows exactly why no one ever goes on to a good film career after doing a terrible TV show. This show really makes me sick, I hate those kids, and bob saget needs to go jump off a bridge for ever making this crapfest. I've seen funner stuff everywhere else but here. I AHet writing 10 lines! Watch 'full house' to see the least humanity has to offer in the way of arts and entertainment.

Full House was a show that I loved as a kid and watched without fail whenever it was on. However, re-watching it as a 19 year old, the show now feels bland and irritating. The production values are decent enough and there are some good morals. On the other hand, the music in my opinion is forgettable at best, while the writing and jokes are forced and rather lame and the stories are predictable and so sugary sometimes it makes your teeth hurt with any problems solved all too easily. I don't now care for the characters either, excepting Kimmy and Stephanie perhaps, however Joey, Danny and Becky manage be both bland and annoying, but worst was Michelle. At the start she was cute, as she got older she got brattier and brattier, the Disneyland episode for example epitomises this. The acting suffers from a lack of genuine comic timing. Overall, loved it as a kid, but I just cannot forgive its irritations and blandness now. 1/10 Bethany Cox

How do you best sum up this show? Well, I guess it would be something about scenes happening with people saying or doing stuff and at no point whatsoever, is any of those parts funny or even achieve the most minor of giggles.
Never have I seen a more cringey, lame or sappy piece of TV history. No one is being interesting, everything has to be so sugar coated and family friendly, that it makes me feel like barfing.
We have a family dad, that is probably the most bland and wussy ever. We have a "cool" uncle that makes Steve Urkel look butch. Then we have the other uncle whose comedic trick is simply not being funny.
Then there are the kids - cutesy wutesy, bland, forgettable and utterly dull and snore-worthy.
Nothing in this show is worth watching in my opinion.

I never watched this show in it's original run. I was an adult at the time but I guess I had other interests so I never saw it. I watched it for the first time in 2023. I can't understand the constant laugh track. After almost every sentence a person says there is a laugh. The sad thing is these sentences are not funny. Do this as a project. Watch an episode and actively listen for the laugh track, notice how many laughs over absolutely NOTHING. Many time when I watch TV I don't pay attention to laugh tracks. But THIS is crazy. I am not kidding you when I say there is a laugh after almost every sentence. Also, I don't think the children on this show are as cute as the rest of the world seems to think they are.

This is perhaps the corniest show to ever exist.
The acting is absolutely abysmal And The characters have the personality of furniture.
I don't understand why this wasn't canceled after season 1.
It got poor ratings in the first season anyway Yet for some reason they continued it.
I'll never understand how anyone could enjoy this.

This is probably the most over-rated and most boring show ever. The characters are flatter then paper, and the plot lines are too simple. In life, your problems can't always be resolved by having it told by an adult. This show is the perfect example of a generic 80's/90's show. Zero jokes are worth laughing at. I'm surprised this show lasted 8 Seasons(or so). Even the opening involving people standing around or doing activities while smile has been done to death in sitcoms. I'm surprised this show launched Bob Saget's and the Olson Twins' careers. This show doesn't make me laugh, it makes me feel depressed that this was a "TV icon".
There is this recurring tone / vibe I get when I watch stuff from 1987 to the present, that being a form of pervasive entitlement that prevents me from having an opinion, because if I do, I'm scared I'll be harassed and bullied for my opinions about Tv shows like Full House. Because I seriously can't stand it, because of how fake and manipulative it all is. And yet growing up in the late 90's, early 2000's, I felt like I wasn't supposed to say anything negative about this show, or any other like. It felt like the people telling me this were that same audience who the show was made for, and I learned right away that these people are just bullies. It still goes on, this type of audience hasn't gone away or anything, it be one thing if these were someone of a minority telling me these things, but it wasn't, it was these angry, jockey and meat headed white people who wanted everyone to know, "I'm better than you, and I can subject you to anything, and gotta take it". I may be a white person, and I would totally understand and help justify, and sympathize if full house were like a show about sexism, classism, or had a unconventional family. It's just the actual Full House show is so fake, cheap, lazy, over the top, and manipulative, that it might have worked if it was a self-aware farce, but no. It's all suppose to legit and serious, even though there is tone-deaf jokes, manipulative music, that it's not even campy. But the atmosphere I remember surrounding this show was "nobody is allowed to say anything bad about this show. This show is based in reality, and it's how people should behave", and like I said, if I said anything about how I truly felt about shows like this, or Leave it to Beaver, The Brady Bunch, I was worried that I was setting myself up to be attacked, scolded and berated. This show is in my opinion, full of crap.
