Return of the Kickfighter

While I had indeed never even heard about the 1987 movie "Return of the Kickfighter" (aka "Mission: Terminate") prior to stumbling upon it here in 2025, I opted to watch it mostly because it was a late 1980s martial arts action movie. So there was bound to be some cheesy nostalgia involved here.

And seeing that the movie had Richard Norton and Dick Wei on the cast list, there was some familiar faces at least. They were, in fact, also the only two familiar faces on the cast list. The acting performances in the movie were fair.

The storyline in the movie wasn't particularly thrilling or entertaining. It was rather campy and cheesy, as you would expect from a late 1980s action movie. But in all honesty, then the plot was pretty weak, which made for a less than mediocre viewing experience.

The action sequences in the movie were fair, but nothing extraordinary or anything to write home about.

Well, I can check it off of the watched-movies-list now, and I doubt that I will ever return to watch the movie a second time.

My rating of director Anthony Maharaj's 1987 movie "Return of the Kickfighter" lands on a four out of ten stars.
