Night of the Living Babes

I have this on video, I bought it along with a bunch of other videos I ordered at the same time about 10 years ago.

There's nothing explicit in it, lots of toplessness, and one soft love scene. This is a shot-on-video feature with a pretty meager budget that tries to draw inspiration from influences as diverse as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Honeymooners and zombie films.

Chuck and Buck are best buddies, married to Sue and Lulu respectively. When Chuck wants to sneak off to a whorehouse called the Zombie Ranch (funny, it looked like a California mansion to me, oh well...) he drags his buddy Buck along for the ride. With their wives in pursuit, hallarity should ensue.

It's not going to be remembered in the halls of great cinema, but it's silly in a sweet way, and the nudity is mildly diverting for an hour or so.

What can I really say about this? It's a cheap, obscure film that runs for about an hour. I guess the makers were aiming for a John Waters type atmosphere.

In spite of its flaws, I kind of enjoyed this-though do understand that I live for obscure, unknown curios. I can't think of an audience to recommend this to. Definitely the type of film where mainstream viewers would feel stupid or ashamed for having watched it! Too bad that once the film started to get interesting it fizzled out.
