Summaries

  • Donald is manning a listening post and falls asleep; he blows trumpet calls in his sleep and wakes his nephews. For their revenge, they send up a model airplane filled with gingerbread men with parachutes; Donald shoots it down, and cowers in fear when he sees the parachutes (and hears a simulated battle), until one lands on his beak. Donald kicks his nephews out until he mistakes a bee for an airplane, and calls them back to fight this menace.—Jon Reeves <jreeves@imdb.com>

Synopsis

  • As the cartoon begins, Donald is sleeping at his listening post while his nephews are sleeping in a tent. He then wakes up his nephews with his trumpet by accident. The nephews decided to take revenge by making a invasion prank of putting gingerbread men in a plane and throwing it up in the sky. Donald notices the plane and uses weapons to take down the plane. He notices the men in parachutes and started to hide while his nephews make artificial combat noises. One gingerbread man lands on Donald and he states that he surrenders and begs them saying that he'll be a good boy. Another one lands on his beak and notices that it was all a prank. Donald calls his nephews very loud that it blows them away. After he says "Attention", the nephews run to make a salute and fixing their hats. Donald then walks up and tells them to display their cigarettes. The nephews do so and Donald snatches the cigarettes from their uniform. Donald then tells them to surrender their weapons. The nephews do so and Donald snatches the weapons from them and break them in half. He then tells the nephews that they were a disgrace to the service and yells "Go!". One of the nephews begs Donald, but he yells "I said, Go!". The nephews then tearfully walk off. Later, Donald reads a manual until he hears a bee. He thinks that it was the nephews. Donald sneaks up on them to notice that they're not doing anything. He then runs up to the listening post to notice that a Japanese aircraft is coming. He then blows his trumpet to get the nephews back. The nephews run back and Donald puts their cigarettes back on their uniform and gives them back their weapons. The nephews use a cannon while Donald locates the bee and it's on the cannon. The nephews try to tell Donald something, but he tells them to fire. The nephews do so after Donald puts in maximum volume. The explosion was so loud that it came to Donald's ears. The nephews then laugh at Donald, who then started quacking angrily at them as the cartoon ends.
