Hyde and Sneak

This time around, Willoughby is looking for a diamond thief. With a simple premise like that, i didn't really expect much from this short, but damn did it blow me away. As always, animation is solid, with an abstract feel and drab colors that fit the creepy setting of London. The diamond thief here is a great villain, and seems to be very flexible. I wish she'd been used as least one more time in some of Willoughby's later cartoons. The conflict here is also laced well, with the disguising pills being a great setting piece. Also, Willoughby plays it smart, making him feel much more appreciable than some of the other characters from Lantz's films at the time. The conflict between Willoughby and Vampira is also really fun. Again, the swinging gag is great, and I enjoy how the tow outsmart each other, again a really great foe. The ending is also one of the best so far. All in all, a fantastic short!
