Sherlock Pink is a peculiar but very humorous Pink Panther cartoon. There is no dialogue, it is all told through the gags. And the gags here are strange but delightfully funny, and there are plenty of surprises around the corner to amuse kids and adults. The animation is still good, basic yet effective, and the music is great, the theme song is a classic. The story is very amusing with Pink Panther turning detective(magnifying glass, Sherlock Holmes's cap and all) after someone steals his chocolate cake, like the animation it isn't flashy or anything, but for the better. These Pink Panther shorts are very simple, but this simplicity works. Overall, a very amusing Pink Panther cartoon, peculiar yes but it works well. 8/10 Bethany Cox
This is a favorite episode of mine from this great series of shorts. It takes the common theme in the Pink Panther cartoons of outlandish/magical realism plot lines to the extreme with this wacky episode. I love the interpretation of how nonsensical dreams are: showcased in the main portion of the episode while Pink is asleep. It's a neat episode; part of the point is that you don't really know what's going on! You can also tell the creators had a lot of fun with this one. Superb!
This Pink Panther story was really random and confusing, even for a cartoon. The Pink Panther is walking through a forest, sets aside a chocolate cake on top of a tree stump and then turns in for the night - sleeping underneath the stars. He then sleepwalks over to the cake and consumes it whole and, when he gets up in the morning, thinks that someone has stolen his cake. As a result, he plays detective and goes out to investigate, stumbling upon an old house and goes through all sorts of odds n' ends in the place to complete his investigation.
There is really no plot to the cartoon and you won't utter much laughs, if any at all. Not an entertaining cartoon, overall.
Grade F

The Pink Panther, who has spent a night out in the woods, notices someone has stolen the chocolate cake he brought with him for breakfast. He dons a Sherlock Holmes-type hat and a magnifying glass, and starts investigating. He follows some car trails into a house inhabited by a mysterious little man dressed in black, but once inside the house, the panther realizes it's crammed with surreal surprises for him.
This short is one of my absolute favorites with the Pink Panther. Loaded with gags and surprises just too wild to describe, you have to wonder what the animators were on when they thought this one up. And the peculiarities hold up right to the very end. Guaranteed to make you gape in awe!
