The original Airwolf series was not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, but the story lines were creative and engaging, and the acting was tolerable. Unfortunately, the same can't be said "season 4". It's a completely different show except for the recycled aerial footage from seasons 1-3. As other reviewers have mentioned, there was no budget for the flying stunts, and the "Airwolf" helicopter was no longer available.
Many of the stories attempt to take on sappy social issues, and the acting is mostly poor. The Canadian actors aren't believable in their roles, and don't "fit" in the California setting. Frequently when listening to the dialogue, I felt compelled to check that my playback speed wasn't at 1.5 times normal.
I starting episode 1 determined to watch the entire season, but in the end, I couldn't do it. I gave up after 10 episodes.
