A Series That Could Have Been Better

The crew had a great opportunity with this series but it did not exactly work. The crew needed to add some extra effort and strength in creating this series. The storyline of this series was a bit basic and straightforward. It also did not have any real direction throughout this series. The cast selection throughout this series could have been better and stronger. They did not exactly fully commit nor connect to the storyline nor to their respective characters. The chemistry that was displayed between the cast members was ordinary and weak which did not work at all for this series. The crew could have created this series better and stronger.

Unfunny predictable witless fratboy schtik

One thing AMAZING about this show is how they made 6 seasons, how they made more than one season. There's a reason this show didn't get on any UK network for 28 YEARS. There's canned laughter every 2 seconds. Yes, the characters and concept are good, and Michael J Fox's charisma and timing helped massively. But thats all there is/was. The level of humour is smirking at a man while saying he's gay or bald or fat. And all the beautiful women on the planet can't possibly control their sexual urges around the amazing deputy mayor of New York. Its cringelingly unfunny.

The show is also struck by the disgusting 1990's American illness/trend of actresses wearing fake erect nipples on fake breasts. Because that was their value to society? ...Or maybe this is what certain abusive producers knew that the American public wanted to buy? In addition to this, apparently, all the people working on the show seem to think that people you work with are automatically all your best friends and your life must revolve around them...and there is nothing else to life. Maybe one could ignore such unbelievable nonsense if the show was actually funny (like one can in other shows).

The addition of Heather Locklear and Charlie Sheen really did not improve the show. In fact, it just turned the show more into a soap opera where they discuss each other's feelings and the right way to behave (while wearing fake nipples & breasts and making fun of virgins) with canned laughter every few seconds.
