For My Daughter's Honor

Yeeeeaaaaahhhh, if you could just take a seat right over there, that'd be greeeeeeaaaaaat.

This movie was shown on Lifetime as For My Daughter's Honor. I had a hard time watching Gary Cole playing this part. He did a believable job, but I think the fact that the school kept brushing it off and his wife never seemed to notice just made me squirm. I think the girl who played Amy did a good job, but her character didn't seem to have enough backbone to get out of a bad situation. It would be good to use to make girls aware of what's appropriate and what's not.

I'll watch any 90s after school special. The acting wasn't as bad as most others. There were however a lot of scenes that felt unnecessary, and others that just never led anywhere. While the movie had a decent duration, it ended so abruptly. Was really hoping for more of an ending. Everyone that was cast did a good job. Subject matter is obviously uncomfortable and its difficult as a viewer to not become infuriated.

Disturbing, uncomfortable subject matter to watch. The film was well paced, edited, and did an excellent job of speaking to the fact that schools and its staff should be hyper aware of sexual predator, pedophile teachers preying on students and report this immediately so they're arrested ASAP. Well casted TV film, everyone was very believable in their roles, which made for a gripping but very unsettling viewing.

A 14 year old girl is seduced by her teacher, who is also the football coach, and things go too far. It was a very gross film as the teacher was a pervert and a predator, but it seemed everyone blamed the innocent girl. Once it all was revealed, the entire school backed the teacher pedophile, and even the girl's own friends turned cold on her. Only her parents were supportive of her. The film just shows how miserable things can be when kids are sexually abused by elders and nothing is done about it if the adults are popular and respected.
