I watched this movie for the first time ever on the Sci Fi channel and I must say.. it was simply awesome. For those of you whom loves 'The Never Ending Story' this is one that would bring back memories of that movie. Even though it is a 1996 movie it has a hazy like setting and look which makes it feel like it is, a fantasy. The acting was brilliant and the music was great especially the beginning battle song and end song. To those of you who have yet to see it, WATCH IT! I recommended completely!
Wretchedly Delicious. I watched this movie just to make fun of it. I can't believe it was made in 1996. I've seen better special effects on old Doctor Who episodes! I kept expecting Crow, Tom and Joel to pop up to make fun of the movie. The acting was horrible. The action was nonexistent. However, it's great laugh and I highly recommend it if you enjoy bad movies.
First of all, ignore anything opolic said. They say "Karnissa" many times during the film. Obviously this hack watched the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of the film only.
I wouldn't recommend this as a rental. But for TV watching this would be OK viewing. Plot and character development is sketchy, and confusing at times. OK special effects. Interesting universe. Nice overall "love above all" theme. Physics are a bit skewed.
Overall, I would give this a good popcorn rating. This is not a serious film in any regard, but it gives a good summer afternoon Saturday or Sunday a good way to pass the time.

I'm usually quite tolerant of movies, and very easily entertained, however this movie was dreadfully disappointing.
I watched this movie after seeing on the cover that William Zabka was in it (The Karate Kid bad boy) and during this movie I could see that this would be the only reason.
This film is a tremendous waste of the actors talent. The music, and sound is dreadfully tacky - I couldn't believe this of a movie made in the 90's!
I wouldn't really recommend this movie unless you're interested in one of the actors.

This is one of the only films ever made with a sky kingdom & airship aesthetic. It is incredible how they keep accomplishing scene after scene of old school effects, miniatures, and costumes to sell a bigger scope. It is some kind of feat; no doubt the filmmakers could have scaled and built the scaffolds to a Ridley Scott film or something. The movie itself though is Power Rangers tier, practically unwatchable; but the rest is something the universe reacts to. It is a Herzogian feat, the stuff dreams are made of. It is simply not the viewers lowly place to tell them they succeeded or not. Massive respect.

- TriviaThe director of this movie, Markus Rothkranz, has several videos on his You Tube channel about how he made the movie with such a small budget and limited resources. He built and painted a number of the sets, props and miniatures himself, and created many of the costumes.
- GoofsObvious miniature work during the initial assault sequence: castle towers wobble from nearby explosions, clearly visible strings holding the models and pieces of the exploding flying ships are left hanging in the air.
