Decampitated

Actor Thomas Martwick is by far the highlight of this particular piece, although the other performances are surprisingly good for this genre. Everyone in it is young and good-looking (again, Martwick is the standout) and the gore is campy and creative. You're not in any danger of actually being scared, but you can count on some genuine entertainment spiced with a generous helping of youthful (and charmingly inexperienced) enthusiasm.

This was so much fun to make! EVERYONE involved did a great job and the end result is a hilarious spoof! Don't expect to be scared, this is not a typical horror film, but there is plenty of blood and effects to enjoy. The humor is tongue in cheek, and not everyone will "get" some of the jokes. The only way to watch this is with an open mind, and you just want to be entertained. Check out Fast Food Films on the FX Channel for their 10 minute version, you can look up the details on their website as far as the scheduled airdates. I just hope you like it.

I admit, I'm not even remotely a Troma fan! I think they're dumb ugly films and have never seen the appeal. For that reason I wasn't exactly the demographic for this going in.

Here we see Troma do a spoof of your traditional slasher flick. We have a group of 20 somethings go camping in the forest, a mixed bag of your traditional stereotypes and they fall foul of serial killer.

To the films credit the killer is fairly interesting, a jovial fellow who skips along and uses all manner of weapons to dispose of his prey.

Further to the films credit there are some laughs to be had, I personally for example laughed out loud at the opening sequence.

Sadly that really is all I can say in favour of the film. Alike every other Troma movie it looks ugly, it sounds dreadful and for every good joke there are a dozen more that simply aren't funny.

Troma just isn't my thing, never has been and likely never will. It's dumb fun, without the fun.

Wow I loved this movie. Found it to be funny. Much better than slasher comedies like Scary Movie, and all that crap. This is great! We got the stupidest campers in the world in this film...The "kills" in this movie are really funny, film also has some blood. NO NUDITY though. I know this is Troma, and I know the DVD cover...don't be tempted it includes NO NUDITY. I REPEAT NO NUDITY. FIne with me, I love the movie anyway! These guys did an ingenious job on this film, I cant wait for their next movie. These guys did good directing for this movie, I am sure the budget was low but this is as good as any 60 million dollar budgeted film, believe me. So get this today...you won't be disappointed!
