Very primitive and boring, yet so addictive...
This is a very simple game, the first popular video game. The concept is that you move a paddle and hit the ball to the CPU or another player. The first to score 11 points wins. Very simplistic and boring. This game is addictive for about an hour, but after that you'll be bored with it, yet oddly it is not as boring as 1984's Duck Hunt, especially since all you do is move the paddle around. Play this only if you get the chance, otherwise you're not missing out on much at all, unless you're really into really old old school games, and even if you are you'll be bored with this.

The First Video Game Ever
Rated E.
Pong is one of if not the first video game ever made.Released in 1972 for the Atari.I live in Canada and one day in my cereal I found a CD called Atari The 80 Classic Games.Pong was one of the games on it.That CD is probably the only place you can find any Atari game. There is no plot to the game and because its the first video game ever it will not excel in Graphics or Gameplay. The game is very simple. You are one paddle and the CPU is another paddle. There is a ball which goes back and forth and the objective is you must make the CPU miss. Each time the CPU misses you get a point and likewise. The one who has the most points wins.Pong was a revolutionary game when it first came out.Now its dated of course but if you can find it its pretty fun to play.

And God said.. "Let there be legal battles, moral panics, and unlawful patents!"
PONG, what else is there to say? Sure it's not the first video game ever, but it might as well be! We can talk about how marvelous this game is with our rose tinted glasses all we want. But it worth realizing; this game has aged. For starters, it is incredibly barebones. That might seem like a dumb complaint for a game from 1972, in which, it is. But I mean.. look at it. I was gonna list a couple other things wrong with this game, but I realized that was all you could really say about Pong. Now, despite what I just said, I do think it can be mildly entertaining to play. Which is why I'm giving this 6 stars and not 4.
Something So Simple
Pong, based on the virtual game ping-pong which is based on the virtual game tennis. You hit a ball back and forth with your opponent. Now how can something so simple like that be so much fun? I have the old Radio Shack pong game from the 70's and its just as fun today with the old fashioned controls and the old sound affects and graphics. It really takes you back. Pong is known as the world's oldest video game. It is. I think a good idea would be to have a newer, more updated Pong with newer graphics and newer sound affects. Still wouldn't be that much to the game, just bouncing ball from one side of the screen to the other, but it would be just as fun.
The First Popular Video Game
There were other video games before Pong, but Pong was the first most people had ever seen. By today's standards it's pretty simple and boring, but when it first came out, everybody was amazed by it. You had to stand in line to play it. I remember the console was so jammed with quarters you couldn't fit another in. It's funny thinking back at how mesmerized we all were by it.

- TriviaShortly after the first machine was installed, it quickly broke down. Upon arriving at the scene the creator noted that it wasn't a technical glitch, instead the game had been so popular that the coin slot had simply been overflowed with quarters.
