The gunship in the opening cut scene is incorrectly identified as a "Combat Talon". While it does have the Fulton Recovery System featured on the MC-130E Combat Talon I, in the game it is featured as a gunship, in this case the AC-130A Spectre, and said to be armed with two 20mm rotary cannons and two 40mm Bofors cannons. It also features the AC-130's Black Crow radome on the left hand side of the fuselage below the cockpit, just ahead of the crew door. The MC-130E Combat Talon I has no weapons and is not fitted as a gunship, nor would an AC-130A be capable of being pressurized (the new AC-130U is the first to have that feature). The AC-130 was not tested until 1967, and has never had the Fulton Recovery System.
The game doesn't let you put a round in the chamber for the Scorpion submachine gun. The Scorpion is one of the few submachine guns of that era that is closed bolt, allowing 1 extra round to be in the chamber. It's probably a glitch since it gives you 301 rounds instead of 300.
The game allows you to put a round in the chamber on the Mosin Nagnt 91/30 sniper rifle. This is not possible because the gun is built to hold four in the reserve and 1 in the chamber making 5 total, but you can load six rounds in the gun.

In the setting of this game (1964), only the first two James Bond films, Dr. No (1962) and From Russia with Love (1963), had been released, with Goldfinger (1964) being released shortly after the events of Operation Snake Eater. Many of the tropes Snake, Para-Medic and Zero ascribe to the series (ie. "The fantastic gadgets? The cars?") had not been fully formulated by this time, and would emerge in later entries in the franchise.
Sigint says that the enemies will not attack Snake from the back when he's wearing the Cold War camo. Actually the enemies won't attack from the front, they will attack from the back. This should be obvious anyway, because this camo depicts the Soviet flag on the front and the US flag on the back (the enemies are Russians). Also, you get this camo by defeating Volgin by stamina depletion and Volgin can only be attacked from the back.
