okay, they haven't got parents because they are supposed to show children how to solve problems on their own they are sooooo cute and the music is nice and upbeat how can you not like it??? baby huffington is really adorable my favorite episode is the one with Valerie and they are making a parade float and Max puts his space robots on the princess castle. I like the sarcasm with Ruby's response to Valeries suggestion to making a scarry float. It' funny. My little girl has all the episodes on Tivo and watches them over and over. I wish there were as many Max and Ruby toys are there are Dora toys. BTW, Dora is great, but she is in a jungle all alone??I hope my little ones doen't get that adventurous and take a walk out in the forest .
My 3 year old daughter has been obsessed with Max & Ruby for about a year now! My son was also when he was in Preschool! I find myself sitting down watching with them and laughing. But I have always wondered where the parents were and why Grandma doesn't watch them since she lives so near by?! What parents would let 2 small kids take a bus to the city to go clothes shopping?! Hmmm??! But overall it is a nice show and I love the mellow music!! The bunny characters are adorable and I like baby Huffington a lot! My favorite episode is The chocolate chicken one when Max ends up eating Ruby's chocolate chicken that the Easter Bunny left, she is bossy and I am glad he ate it!
Both my kids like this show, but I have noticed that Ruby is kind of a brat kicking max out of the sand box so they can have a beach party and taking the markers he was playing with first. But other than that observation my kids love the show. It's a cute show and I also wondered why the parents are never there as well. When I first saw it, the way Ruby was bossing Max around, I thought that Ruby was the mom. My mom was watching it with us and said she thinks it was the sister and I was like well where are the parents? Bossy older sister and no parents, but at least it keeps my kids entertained. We always turn this show on when it's on because I want to see what one word max will say the whole show lol. It's a super cute show.
My two year old loves this show, and watches episodes over and over again on the Tivo. She especially loves the Froggy Friend show.
I have only one observation, do Max and Ruby have parents? In NO show have they ever shown their parents. Just a thought.

My daughter loves this show, she laughs so hard when Max is on the TV. Some of you feel like kids aren't learning properly from this cartoon, like music and dance, but should your kids really be learning anything from a cartoon? I would much rather watch Max and Ruby than Dora and her whiny, scared voice all of the time. We grew up watching Tom and Jerry and the Flintstones and I can honestly say I have never chased a mouse around and tried to make a musical instrument out of his tail. If your children learn to hop on a bus and go shopping downtown from watching Max and Ruby, well, it really wouldn't be the cartoons fault, now would it? Lack of proper parenting would have to be to blame. So let your kids watch a nice little show and then go read them a book and teach them right and wrong. Dear God, please do not let cartoons teach your children their moral foundation! And lighten up, it's a cartoon, not everything has to be a learning experience! Max and Ruby have a great sibling relationship.
