8.8 is my rating. Great film. Quite an atypical take. Great songs, loved the cinematography man . It was a great goddamn HORROR film that is , you can actually feel the intended emotions in the film that it makes it complete. The acting was great on both Ajith and simran's part , man he was an exceptional actor like both charecters felt like completely two different people and any less that what he has given would've ruined the holdings of the story . The cinematography was crazy like this horror film made me fear at certain scenes man. Certain adulterous scenes in the first half felt a little more than needed and in a way overlapped and suppressed the effectiveness of certain raw scenes in the second half where it might've actually been needed( I'm not completely sure if removing them would've ruined it ). Great enjoyable movie man. Felt perfect in way as changing anything might've messed up the flow and coherence of story and underlying content. The end eulegy left me with a scratch in the back which was not satisfied with what was justified and presented to be but in a way it felt like the story was whole and not tipping to any side which was the actual thing that held the film to be perfect as anything other would've made it to be just another cliche movie.

The movie re-made in Hindi with Neha Dupia in Double was a bull ----, it really corrupted the image of the original movie.

Ajith Kumar best film in his career. One of the best doule role movie in cinema. Ajith and simran were did very well. Ajith hold the characters of (Deva) and (Shiva) so tempting.

Really SJ surya is a great underrated director.

Deva (music director) carry over the movie through music till the end. I'm really affected by the climax of the movie it's great. At the end of the movie Deva (Character) speaks about his love, it's so touching. The Magnum opus in thala cine career .. I could say simran is the hero and thala is deadly villain of this movie.. Simran completely gave a neck to neck performance to ajith. Ajith is only actor to have guts to play a villainous potrayal in budding period.... Simran is completely good looking in both sarees and modern dress.. Ajith used a great body language for deva character... I think this movie is classic cult for 90s kids.
