It's the 25th wedding anniversary for Stan Stone (Robert Klein) and Barbara Stone (Judith Light). They surprise their children by announcing their divorce. Karly Stone (Lindsay Sloane) is irresponsible, jobless, and recently evicted. Winston Stone (Jay Baruchel) is a neurotic science nerd. By the end of the pilot, all four are living under the same roof.
These are bitter snarky jokey sarcastic people. I love all four actors. It's a KoMut production. This is a three episodes and out situation. Seven remain unaired. The critics were harsh. It is a snarky network sitcom with a lot of sex adjacent jokes. The problem is that the tone is all the same for these characters. The show gets saturated with the same tone. This needs someone to break it up. I'm mostly fine with this, but I can see the problem.
