    A very enjoyable movie!

I enjoyed all the actors in this film, and also enjoyed the storyline, which was not as predictable as some romance movies are. There were a number of surprises, and I really enjoyed how the surprises and the choices made by the characters in the film were down-to-earth and made a lot of sense. (Unlike so many romance movies where things are such a stretch.) There were some new faces in this film (new to me), and I enjoyed them all. Lori Heuring brings something very interesting to the screen, as does Quinlan. Oh yeah, there were a few moments not very realistic -- like when Heuring fixes a waffle for the man her mom found for her on the Internet and not knowing how to cook she made the waffle totally black. I thought it was a bit of a stretch both that they served it to him anyway and that he then took a bite of it. But that was one of the only times I didn't believe what I saw. I also enjoyed the numerous relationships in the film, and the mother-daughter relationship was I thought very refreshing, especially in that it was based on more love and mutual respect than I normally see in mother-daughter relationships in film. It would make a great "date movie" too by the way.

    Happy endings

I'm a sucker for a romance movie. I love when people learn and all is a win win. Sometimes we need to feel and this movie can simply do that. This is worth watching if you need a quick pick me up.

Combination of Internet and romantic courtship

Kathleen Quinlan makes the movie watchable. Her beauty hasn't faded, but has endured. She plays "Tess," the mother of "Jenny," who desperately needs a life after a tumultuous relationship. When Tess secretly decides to "meddle," she gets unexpected results. I admit it, I'm a sucker for romance and this was simple fare with a rewarding payoff. I'm not familiar with the other actors, but each seemed comfortable in their roles and very believable. The child actor was especially refreshing, as he was pivotal, yet not the center of attention very often. Altogether, "Perfect Romance" is a great way to spend a rainy, dreary night, because it will life your spirits and give you hope.

    A feel good movie

Obvious from the start but still a feel good movie. I'm trying to find out what the song is called when Tess runs into peter while jogging in the woods. It's a female artist with a snappy beat. I'd love to be able to buy this movie....

served with a tonne of saccharin

Depressingly poor direction from Douglas Barr, better known as the veteran co-star of the terrible TV series "Designing Women", is one of the film's major faults.

It also has a most unlikeable syrupy script from Allison Burnett who repeated the crime in her next film "Autumn in New York".

It is sad to see an actress of Kathleen Quinlan's quality wasted in this drivel; Lori Heuring's acting falls way short of the mark.

The only saving grace is Brit television actor Henry Ian Cusick attempting to make a very simple role somewhat complicated. He went on to co-star in the wonderful "Lost" series.

    Avoid this at all costs.
