served with a tonne of saccharin

Depressingly poor direction from Douglas Barr, better known as the veteran co-star of the terrible TV series "Designing Women", is one of the film's major faults.

It also has a most unlikeable syrupy script from Allison Burnett who repeated the crime in her next film "Autumn in New York".

It is sad to see an actress of Kathleen Quinlan's quality wasted in this drivel; Lori Heuring's acting falls way short of the mark.

The only saving grace is Brit television actor Henry Ian Cusick attempting to make a very simple role somewhat complicated. He went on to co-star in the wonderful "Lost" series.

    Avoid this at all costs.

    Perfect Romance.

This is a realistic movie, set in the computer age we now find ourselves in, the whole online dating game....I loved all the characters, they were realistic and this is a great movie....I loved the relationship between the mother and the daughter, the whole story line and the family as a whole....it's very refreshing to see a movie that is based so closely on real life event's and I can only imagine how many times a mother has gone to those lengths to ensure her daughter's happiness, but being a mother myself, I can see that there is nothing more important than your children's happiness, even when they are all grown up....so it gives us all hope that there is a true love for us all, maybe even right under our noses, someone who is a friend, confidante, etc...The two main male roles went to great actor's and I just love Kathleen Quinlan....The ending was exactly as I hoped....I really recommend this movie to any and all romantics...

    Happy endings

I'm a sucker for a romance movie. I love when people learn and all is a win win. Sometimes we need to feel and this movie can simply do that. This is worth watching if you need a quick pick me up.

    A feel good movie

Obvious from the start but still a feel good movie. I'm trying to find out what the song is called when Tess runs into peter while jogging in the woods. It's a female artist with a snappy beat. I'd love to be able to buy this movie....

    the nuances

...are the basic motif to see it. sure, the romantic recipe is the same. sure, the unrealistic scenes are not very rare. but it is a film who knows tell , in nice and smart and seductive manner its story. and, after a beginning not real promising, the film has the force and spirit and gift to use well known ingredients of romance for a cute love story about feelings, choices, options, mistakes and...truth. and , without be memorable, it represents what you expect in inspired package. a film about relations. and true love. about family, desires and the step changing, in fundamental way, everything. the best detail - it seems not exactly a story. but a confession . and that transforms it in , for few scenes, a slice from your past.
