Groove Squad

Groove Squad may look like an attempt to market off Totally Spies, it is a nice one. Telling the story of Chrissy, Ping, and Mackenzie, three best friends who are on the cheer team, they suddenly find themselves becoming superheroines when a blast from Dr. Nightingale's Brain Buster while getting their hair done. Now the three must balance their new responsibilities and cheerleading, as the championships are coming up.

Yeah, this is another cheesy idea, but this sounds a lot better than some of DiC's other shows at the time (like Super Duper Sumos and even DinoSquad). The idea is really creative, as it is a neat superhero idea. Also, the cheese factor actually works for this one. The way the movie is done, it looked like it was intended to be a pilot for a possible TV show (which never happened).
