Cruel Intentions 1...then 2....then came three! I was surprised that they released a sequel to Manchester prep, which I didn't enjoy much due to the fact that it was only in the END of the film that we get shocked, this movie shocked me at least 4 times, I guess because the plot caught me off guard (many times), but in this case the ending part wasn't as spontaneous as part II. At the first part of this film, you might get annoyed at the so called tackiness and predictability of the characters, it might even come across as boring, but when you get to the middle of it you might be shocked as the twist of their schemes goes further insane. However there are more nude scenes in this movie that could've been more subtle. Overall I give this film a B- for good entertainment and good delivery!
This installment is so good when compared to CI2 it's immeasurable, with a healthy new cast of characters, and an all new location CI3 does the CI name proud. If I could offer advice to anyone it would be: CI and CI3 are great, but miss CI2.
This movie is based around Katherine's (SMG's character from CI) cousin in California and doesn't, like two, try to resurrect characters :D
Basically if you liked the original CI you do not want to miss this installment, the only criticism perhaps being a rushed start, but do not let that deter you. ;)
Hope you enjoy the film as much as I did!

OK so it's not as good as the original. But no one can ever really expect that of a sequel. But at least it beats Manchester Prep by FAR.
Although not as smooth and intelligent as the original, it has a couple of amazing plot twists and is truly evil at points - a guilty pleasure to watch. Not only that but at one point we find whats happened to Kathryn since the first one ;) Some of the characters are amazingly unrealistic, but whether thats a bad or a good thing you have to make your own mind up. Cassidy (Kristina Anapau) is deliciously cruel and manipulative almost up to par with her cousin.
Brilliant teen trash. If you're much older probably not going to appeal and if you're much younger you're parents won't let you watch!

In a college in Santa Barbara, the amoral and evil students Cassidy Merteuil (Kristina Anapau), Jason Argyle (Kerr Smith) and Patrick Bales (Nathan J. Wetherington) play a wicked game: Jason tries to seduce Sheila Wright (Natalie Ramsey), the girlfriend of his friend Michael Cattrall (Tom Parker); Patrick tries to seduce Alison Lebray (Melissa Yvonne Lewis), who is engaged. Their final intent is just a destructive game and nothing else. Then they decide to bet who will go first with Cassidy to the bed for one dollar. "Cruel Intentions 3" is another amoral, mean and erotic tale, using the same concept of "Cruel Intentions" and "Cruel Intentions 2", but without Kathryn Merteuil, performed by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Amy Adams respectively. Cassidy has the same lack of character of the original Kathryn, and is a good substitute for the original character. Having many plot points and beautiful actresses evolved in erotic scenes, this forgettable movie is a good entertainment. My vote is seven.

After the dismal performance of CI2 the makers decided to release a third instalment in the series, only that it is straight to video this time.
Nothing much has changed in terms of storyline; the students are still very horny and place huge bets on deflowering one another, only this time round there is a few more occasions involving backstabbings and slightly more twists than the original. The twists do work, however, and makes the movie actually watchable, despite its lack of attractive leads and well-concealed sex scenes.. anyway that's what most people watch it for right?
The cast are OK, only the dialogue doesn't seem so fresh anymore, with much of it saturated with talks on how important sex is etc. nonetheless it is still enjoyable, and worth 6/10.

Jason Argyle: If you want to be so much like Kathryn, then let me be your Sebastian.
- Alternate versionsScott Ziehl directed scenes that were shot over a year later (for the cable TV version) in a police station where Kristina Anapau and Nathan Wetherington characters describe separately what happened. Melissa Yvonne Lewis character makes a non-speaking appearance in the police station as well. These scenes were edited into the movie to make it longer.
