A group of elite anti-terrorist personnel must stop a major international terrorist from carrying out his plans.

The movie had better action sequences than I had expected. It also contained interesting twists along the way, some of which concluded in a very predictable manner though. If you enjoy a fast paced action thriller, this is a movie for you.

The story seems to be twice-told at first, but when we realize that the anti- terrorist cell's dissolution has been ordered in a weeks time, it truly becomes a do or die situation for the agents. The personal sacrifices, double agents, mistaken identities, high speed car chases, hot item songs, foreign locations and all other essentials of an action flick are neatly assembled.

My complaints are that the clichéd song dance routine taking place in the lead actor's imagination has continued to find its place. Zayed Khan is an overall disappointment. Pankaj Kapoor has emerged as a surprise package with an excellent performance.Sanjay Dutt is good as usual, strong performances by Abhishek and Suniel. Shilpa Shetty looks stunning and dresses accordingly.

Overall a well made film with great sound and special effects, slightly exaggerated action and a mass appeal due to its vast star cast.

    Horrible piece of....

Loose ends...weak screenplay and plot development...half hearted attention to details...unnecessary sub-plots and diversions....although must say technical inputs have improved tremendously...Can't they read and discuss scripts before making a movie?..this seems to be happening time and time again in recent times..e.g. Kaal...Bollywood wants to be Hollywood...tries to hold on to classic Bollywood sensibilities with Hollywood glitz and glamour and makes a mess out of it...very disappointed..acting-wise not a bad job by all the four main guys...probably the only other above average department of the movie besides the editing and action sequences....though female characters did not have the space or screen-time.

Another dreamy drams and bollywoodish stuff! beware!

I wasn't surprised that the movie was such a painful waste of 3 hours. What I don't understand is this! Why Bollywood movies take everything to emotional level and just make the whole thing a headache. Overpoured emotions in everything they do, every dialoge, every action is full of emotions even in a so called hi-fi action movie. Another thing I hate about Bollywood is that it has yet to come out of excessive and unnecessary use the computerization of actions and scenes. I just don't know why they unnecessarily put a loud music behind every scene which is done by one of those sentimental heroes and made the whole action modified by the computerization, it just makes it unbearable. I would rather keep the whole thing flow naturally and something people can relate to. I am sure lot of people like such a dreamy drama but at the end it just doesn't make sense at all. I can understand that they keep on making the stuff that sells, without worrying whether or not it makes sense. Good luck!

Good plot, effective direction, convincing performances.

Dus released in 2005 directed by anubhav sinha is a good spy thriller with solid storyline and effective performances. Veteran pankaj kapur plays antagonist jamwal with ease, spontaneity and depth and proves why he is considered as a great actor. Rest performances are effective too. Sanjay dutt, shilpa shetty, abhishek bachchan, esha deol, sunil shetty, rajendra sethi and others deliver good performances. Dus specialty lies in unpredictable aspects. We don't know what happens next. Lots of material has been taken from the usual suspects, Hollywood thriller. Scene to scene transformation is the main aspect of the script. A must watch.

Too many stars spoil the movie!!

What applies to the cooks and broth applies to stars and movie too. Dus was a disappointment to say the least. The only saving grace is the soundtrack... especially the title track.

The storyline was the same old Bollywood formula. The casting was OK but their acting was terrible! Sanjay Dutt looks bored all through the movie. He is better as a munnabhai or a Raghu Shivalkar. Shilpa Shetty's role is quite forgettable. The grunge clothes and the fake tattoos don't really go well on her. AB Jr and Zayed Khan looked hot. Isha Deol was horrible!! First half of the movie was still bearable... second half was more torturous on the audience than on the villains!!! The best part of the movie was Pankaj Kapur. His acting was brilliant. Too bad that its wasted on a movie like this.

I'd advise you to wait for the DVD to come out. Don't buy it. Just rent it... watch the title track (excellent choreography) and then just return it!
