I enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed the film. The challenges of making a brilliant movie is beautifully depicted. There are many good things about this. I have not given 9/10 liberally. So that sums up whatever I am trying to express. This making reinforced my belief that the Indian film industry is awesome. Thank you for making the making of Lagaan.

My Rating : 8/10
Wonderfully put-together by Satyajit Bhatkal (Aamir Khan's friend) who captures the spirit of one of the most unconventional Bollywood movies ever made.
I enjoyed this documentary just as much as the film - it's a journey and has the passionate genius of Ashutosh Gowariker with the pragmatic and calm approach of Aamir Khan - together it's magic!
A must-watch for Bollywood cinephiles, a work of intense love and dedication.

I saw this documentary today itself and I must tell you that it was an experience which I will cherish forever. This documentary showcases what actually went through in making a movie worth an academy award nomination. It starts off with the vision of Gowariker and his attempts to convince aamir khan to be on-board with the project. This documentary was made with the very intensity the actual film was made and is captured brilliantly by Sanjay Bhatkal. I was in complete awe after watching what goes through a team of people to go to an isolated place for 6 months trying to bring a script of paper on a celluloid. Hats off to the production team of Lagaan (Lagaanites) of creating a millennial movie which will remain in the hearts of every Indian for generations to come.

I have always loved Lagaan as a movie but after watching this documentary, you can't help but see and appreciate the efforts the team goes through to make a piece of cinema possible. The kind of impact cinema has on viewers is well known but this is perhaps the first time where you see impact on the artists and technical crew behind the screen. While it's easier to critic and comment on a movie. Cinema and the people behind the screen (not just the actors but almost everyone) should be considered while making any judgement. Cinema as a whole needs to be viewed more empathetically and address all these unsung heroes in creating one hell of a saga.
Kudos to everyone who were involved on the project and thank you for making this dream of a project happen.
