This is an excellent documentary about the struggle and planning that making a movie like Lagaan demands, something that can translate into our lives with our ambitions and goals. It very excellently potrays what honest intentions and intense & dedicated work can result into, yet it manages to leaves you feeling humbled by one's achievements. Excellent work and a fitting complement to the movie and it's experience.
Such a motivational documentry I think if you get a great success you might be free to the conclusion.
All this hype about an unreleased Aamir Khan's film is a DVD extra of Lagaan?!! Aamir has become a real lunatic. Why waste the precious time of people by saying it is an unreleased film? Did you ever expect that this so-called film of yours would see the daylight and people thronging to the theaters to see this DVD extra? Why didn't you three (Ashutosh Gowariker, Aamir Khan, (&) Zee TV) sell it in OLX instead??? Lagaan may be an epic, but this is an epic fail. Aamir told this is kind of a documentary which is very close to his heart. He should have kept it to his heart. Why give us a heart attack by saying it is an unreleased movie and waste our Sunday? Nobody in sane mind would have enjoyed a DVD extra. People enjoy it when it is shown for 5 minutes after a movie gets over. Due to Aamir's fan-following, it is rated 8.5.
Coming soon all the unreleased deleted/cut-scenes of Aamir from his previous films "Bhag Chalo: The Lunacy of Film Cutting." Again, fans will work hard for you Aamir and rate it 10/10.
Keep it up Mr. Poorfectionist.

Wonderfully put-together by Satyajit Bhatkal (Aamir Khan's friend) who captures the spirit of one of the most unconventional Bollywood movies ever made.
I enjoyed this documentary just as much as the film - it's a journey and has the passionate genius of Ashutosh Gowariker with the pragmatic and calm approach of Aamir Khan - together it's magic!
A must-watch for Bollywood cinephiles, a work of intense love and dedication.

We all have watched Lagaan. But how many of us have watched Madness in Desert?
Madness in Desert is a documentary on the making of Lagaan the movie. It captures the entire journey of a movie right from the inception of the idea in the head of the director to its nomination in the Oscars.
The documentary is so well made. It will make you realize why Lagaan is a special movie and why it will remain once in a lifetime film.
This documentary is a lesson in movie-making. This is a special, special documentary and made me realize that Lagaan, the feature film is incomplete without Madness in Desert, the documentary.
Must watch. The documentary is as great as the movie.
