Sexy and Funny T.v Movie!
Jennifer Love Hewit is hilarious as sexy superficial Katya Livingston, a she's kinda played this role before as her character is very similar to her one in Heartbreakers. But still i think she's very funny. Confessions, has a simple plot, a sexy Young socialite, who believes everything can be done fabulously! During this film Katya tries desperately to get into the biggest party of the season, The royal Ball. One problem, the host-est,Dove, hasn't invited her, as she hates her blah blah blah. Anyways its hilarious watching Katya stop at nothing to get in, even almost ruining things with her true love! The highlight of the film for me was Joseph Lawrence, he is so funny as Furguson, Katya's gay best friend. I think this was a brave role for him, seeing as most of the characters he's played have been, tough macho men. This proves how talented he really is, i would recommend this film to people purely for his performance. Plus i think he pulls of the bald look very well! Bald or with hair, he's still hot!
Pretty good, for a JLH movie
I usually detest Jennifer Love Hewitt. Especially after the horrid "The Truth About Love" which I (very unfortunately) happened to watch.
But I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Ms Hewitt in this movie. It wasn't so bad, and in fact, was pretty good if I might add. The movie doesn't make any pretensions about what it's supposed to be i.e. a good, funny, light-hearted piece of fluff. Didn't feel like a made-for-TV movie at all too. I watched it when I was feeling kinda down and it actually did the trick.
Watch it for the air-headed humor, JLH's wardrobe (which fully capitalised on her "bosom buddies", as always), and the zippy dialog.
Oh..and the scene at the fountain with Katya and Charles was really really sweet. Rather believable too. Now, if only I can be as witty as Katya Livingston when I'm sitting at the fountain, munching on a hot dog with my ultimate dream guy......

Very clichéd but fun
This film is about a woman who does everything to climb up the social ladder, and pretends to be someone who she isn't.
I bought this film for 1 pound, and it was not even second hand. Hence, I did not have much expectations for it.
It is obvious that this is made for TV. The close ups are too close that the face occupies 95% of the screen. The way the camera moves between Frangiapani and Katja in the Indian restaurant looks more like a soap opera than a film. The film is so full of cliché. The obligatory gay friend who is constantly suicidal is too over the top that is almost derogatory.
Despite all these shortcomings, I confess that I enjoyed the film. It is fun, brain-off film that makes you forget your troubles. Jennifer Love Hewitt looks stunning in the film. It's a comedy that works!

A good made-for-t.v. movie!
Saw this one the other night. I thought it was pretty funny. It stars Jennifer Love-Hewitt as Katya, an ad exec. with a couple close friends. She tries to talk to people throughout this movie trying to be the "in-crowd." She learns in the end that it's not really worth trying to be there after she meets a nice guy that falls for her. She ends up hurting him and regrets making a huge mistake. I like Love-Hewitt movies and the characters that she plays in them. I think this movie could/should be a DVD with some extras thrown in. Definitely a movie that you should watch with your partner after you put the kids to bed! 7/10 on this one!
i really enjoyed this film!
i really enjoyed watching this film, i think that the acting was fantastic and both actors and actresses were very good. The plot of the story was based on a very good book that i also enjoyed reading by the fabulous author Adele Lang. The film was inspiring and was a great laugh and would be enjoyed by many people. I specially enjoyed Katya Livingston's gay best friend who really amused me and really made the film worthwhile. The film is very different from the book confessions of a sociopathic social climber as maybe is not as good as the ending is very different in the book and oxygen film companies changed that and made it worse as in the book there is no happy ending and things turn out a lot different. but overall i think that the film was a worthwhile watch and would very much like to see it again!

- TriviaJennifer Love Hewitt and Joseph Lawrence knew each other prior to filming. They dated when they were teenagers.
- GoofsWhen Katya and her two friends are in an Indian Cafe, her friend is seen with a hookah (shisha) pipe in the mouth. However, when the shisha is shown by the camera, the terra cota cup is open. To smoke a shisha, that cup should be filled with tobacco, then covered by an aluminum foil, and topped with burning coals.

Katya Livingston: Darling, don't you know that looking good is everything - no matter how much it costs?
