    Edit
    • Trivia
This is the last ever appearance of Carry Goossens (Oscar) and Walter Michiels (Pico), meaning the original cast is last seen. Goossens had announced his departure, wanting a new challenge. He made an anticipated move to Flemish commercial channel VTM. Michiels was dismissed due to alcohol abuse and unprofessional behavior on set. The title was not scheduled to be Michiels's last. He would originally star in the fifth season, however, his situation did not improve. His dismissal took place off-season.
    • Goofs
Oscar's father Amedee remarks Oscar's ball has a hole as he pumps air. Oscar, not amused by his father's presence, gets round tea and cake time as he'll pump air further. Since Oscar's ball has a hole, it is totally pointless. Pascale hears Amedee talk the ball's hole, thus she knows about its damaged condition. She still says "You can do that [pump air] later".
    • Crazy credits
"THE ORIGINALS" message appears in a framework at the start of each intro with theme song from De nieuwe truitjes (1990) to Love Story (1993), to honor the titles with Carry Goossens (Oscar) in the lead and Walter Michiels (Pico) co-starring. This has been the case for all re-runs and DVD and Blue-ray releases since the 2010s.
    • Alternate versions
On the original air date December 25, 1993, the title had a different ending than the familiar ending. A 'revenge act' of writer Frank Van Laecke, the original ending was labeled surreal by the audience.
      • Episode has two endings. Both have been broadcast. The first ending was only broadcast on original air date.
      • Xavier's magic act was taped twice to write off Carry Goossens's character Oscar Crucke.
      • Oscar disappears in the first ending. Xavier casts the spell on him "to get his pints full", but the spell works.
      • In the alternative version, the spell does not work and Oscar remains in the chair. Oscar leaves for Tenerife.
