    R.i.p Matthew

Well now this episode hits different with mith Matthew now being with us any more , he was literally the funniest and the most character i could relate to , he saved me and times i needed someone and there was no one that would understands me except chandler , Matthew Perry never disappointed us in make us laugh , cry , smile and feeling a lot of other feelings, a great actor that never had the appreciation he deserved, he will always go down on my list as the greatest comedy actor of all time , the way he played the character was absolutely tremendous that no one ever could have played it like this , goodby Matthew , we will try to keep it down.

    My favorite sit-com episode

Not just my favorite Friends episode but my favorite sit-com episode of all time. The end of the episode, as Chandler leaves, is just brilliant. And Ross and Phoebe's argument is classic. Monica in front of the TV magnifier-hilarious. On and on. As much as I love the actors, the writing really made Friends the show it became. This episode is the epitome of that writing--sad, funny, thought-provoking, touching, it is all there.

    Matthew Perry's finest hour

Whilst this episode is excellent and gives a glimpse of the overall brilliance of Season 2, the main reason it stands out for me is the performance of Matthew Perry.

I imagine that at the time the series was probably a little too young for it to be recognised by The Emmy committee but, having watched it several times through TV re-runs, it is clear to see that Perry puts in a wonderful sequence of beautifully-acted scenes which highlight Chandler at his achingly neurotic best.

You really feel like you go on a journey through his back-story, and come to empathise with his current-day status as loner-to-be, all in the space of less than 25 minutes. If retroactive Emmys were to be handed out, I would no hesitation in nominating this episode as Perry's magnum opus.

Matthew Perry's Finest Moment As Chandler

The first episode of "Friends" I have rated 10/10 and it's all down to one man. Matthew Perry take a bow sir. His performance is nothing short of superb Plot In A Paragraph: After Mr. Heckles, the annoying old guy who lives beneath the girls (and tried to steal Marcel) dies, and since he has no relatives he leaves all his belongings to Monica and Rachel calling them "the noisy girls in the apartment above mine". Going through his belongings Chandler notes similarities between himself and Mr.Heckles and he worries he will die alone just like him. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Ross argue over evolution.

Perry should have been nominated for an Emmy for his work in this episode, he is a delight, showing a full range of emotions. The last scene before the final credits one was very touching.

He was my favourite character before due to him being the funniest one, now he has showed he can be sweet and vulnerable too.

In a side note Jennifer Aniston looked really cold when filming this episode and I'm a fan of that too.

At the beginning, Joey tells the story about the 'girl' he dated with the big Adam's apple. Later in the series, he calls his Adam's apple Joey's apple, and Chandler has to correct him by telling him it isn't named after each individual person.
